Trinity Composites Epic Pro build

Not if you buy a used SXR for $3500...I still think it will be cheaper to go the Trinity route & you'll be a hell of a lot lighter!

Can you just buy the Trinity upper and use your SXR lower?

i actually picked upan 03 sxr in mint condition for $2700. my organ donar is going to make the first epic pro a complete boat

Lower deck is finished. The upper and lower weigh 47 lbs. Now I can start the plug for the bulkhead.

Finished the mold for the bulkhead. The stock bulkhead from what I could see was ended just above the bearing. This bulkhead is solid adding strength and sealing the hull up. I'm working on the battery close out box. The stock setup is a batt. tray glued to the pump shelf, which leaves the back of the hull open for water to come in under the seat. All the marks on the bottom of the hull are from the plug going in and out shaping the plug to fit right while the upper was on.

As my main ski? hmmmmmmm...I don't know...maybe in a year or two as a 2nd ski.

I believe this lightweight setup will be cheaper or the same price as buying a stock X2....plus it'll probably be about 60-70 pounds lighter for the cheaper version.

Used SXR $3000
Trinity 'build it yourself' cheaper kit $3500-4k (guesstimate???)
Steering hardware $1000 (guesstimate???)
Total: About 8 grand for a lightweight new X2!!!

Aren't the X2's going for about $9000 used? This will probably be cheaper and you get all the weight savings....you just have to do some work!:headbang:

DJ,

are you planning to buy a trinity kit for your evo build ? Bobby wouldn't sell me a kit so I got an Envy kit from waterdawg
