Trinity Composites Epic Pro build

I cant wait to see the final weight of this thing!

I hope risk does what he can to keep it light as possible.

I know of a 7lb battery with all the same specks as a typical 16lb battery that would go great in there.

I wonder if he could get a stock rd nose waterbox to work in there over that heavy arse kawi stock box..... I could understand not wanting the loud arse TDR, and wanting a full size tank instead of a light weight 2 gallon Kart tank.

Will be a bad arse ski FO SHO!!!!

Oh chit the old cracker is coming back out of me. :wall:

If this sucker had a yamadog inside it would be even cooler! :smashfreakB:

Hood looks great Bobby.... I will probably swing through today.

A Jetcraft Turbomuff would be perfect, 1.5lbs and a nice deep mellow tone but freeflowing.

Cracker, please tell us more about this 7# battery

Its funny, right after I put this post up Bobby calls me from the shop asking me the dimension of this battery.

When I get home form work later I will let you guy's know all the specs. It is sealed, and has big time cranking amps.... and under a hundred bucks.

Looks like Bobby will be making his own battery trays now.

its not an "xtreme" brand by chance..is it?

Yea, thats it Scott! Now I remember seeing something you posted about the same one I guess?

A freind of mine stumbled across it at local battery shop.

Is your's still holding up good?

installed it 1 year ago......have NEVER charged and its still cranks like a champ

its in my REV so its lying on the side back in the bulkhead....I believe youre right..about 6-7 lbs and almost as many CCA's as an oddysey

the only thing about it is that it has NON stainless terminals or screws, so those must be changed...mine are all rusted to hell

Battery's Plus

They are hit or miss on quality.

I have one that I have had in my SXR since about 2005 and still chugging strong.

I bought one in 2006 for my SJ and it lasted less than a year.

The hull weighs 73 lbs and the hood weighs 14.5 lbs. The hole above the shaft tube is a chase way for the battery cables. I'll get some better pics tomorrow with some of the metal and hood mounted.
