Outstanding work Bobby! It's great to see Trinity building killer boats for both freestyle/freeride & racing!:hail::hail:

Really like what I'm hearing with this thread. GP is the future of racing. I got to see afew kawidoo's this weekend and they rip. I think the 787 doo motor sounds like a killer idea. Come on Cracker, lets see it! :Banane35: :brap:

What's the rules for GP Racing as far as hull and engine? Not that I am going to build one anytime soon but I am assuming an 1100 tripple Kawie/Trinity boat would be over the displacement limit...

Have you guys seen some of the PSI monster bigbore/stroker PSI sled engines? I think they have a 1500 cc tripple cylinder engine with like 300 and some hp!

Yes, sled engines are some Crazy power! I know last year displacement limit was 900cc, as everyone was re-sleeeving to down size there 951 motors.

You guys have no idea. The 787 is the best Sea-Doo motor out there. The 951's are really good too, but very unrealiable. The 787 has a ton of parts floating out there in e-bay land, and is a rotary valve motor. No sucking a reed on these bad boys. When I raced for Sea-Doo in 99 my Neptune Racing, Bo Dupriest built SPX would do 68 MPH in race conditions, and was 0-50 in 2 sec flat. Bronson when its time, I have access to a TON of Sea-Doo 787 parts.

hey Cody, did you race for Polaris also (2000-2001?)

Excactly, plus there affordable and light. That is what I want within a year when I have some spare time. Get some of that Neptune dust sprinkled over the engine and hold on. I will call it a Sea-Saki.:Banane35:

I raced for Riva Yamaha in 2000 and My own Sea-Doo deal in 2001. In 2001 I traveled with a guy Mark Queen who was racing for Polaris. I tried racing one of those things one time, and that was a bad choice, Its not a Sea-Doo that is for sure. They were fast, and some guys could ride them really well.

I was gonna throw a seapoo engine in mine, but the intakes are wayyyyyy to low. I would eat water and blow it up for sure.

Now, I am gonna stick with my piped, aluminum flywheeled SXR motor. It is pretty stock, allready rips hard, has 800cc and is reliable. If I lose 60 pounds with one of Bobby's hulls this winter, it is REALLY gonna tear arse.

Didnt your ski weigh over 400lbs at Daytona? You will be loosing more like over 100lbs with the light weight hood included, and no more wet foam!

That ='s a much better power to weight. :icon16:

Stick with what you already have for sure.

huh, if it was just 2 lbs lighter he would not know what to do!

look at it this way, if his ski ever breaks down on a deserted island, all he has to do is suck the water out of it when he gets thirsty.

do these light weight hulls handle as well as the stock sxr in rough water, just curious?
I haven't spent enough time on one in rough water to say. Plus I'm not the best to test thats Jonnys and Joshs job. Jonny says it is, he said its flickable like a sj and stable like the sxr . Also says the ski is easier to setup for turning. Less weight to lay over, and less weight to right as you come out of a corner. One more thing he mentioned was the ski stays more on top of the swells and chop rather than plowing through. I've watched Jonnys ski very close during races and it looks good.
