You know, I am not going to quote any body, not going to call anybody out in particular. I am posting this as Me, not an ahole admin.

Some people need to learn to just keep their mouth's shut. Stop speculating why someone is doing something. They assume that they are selling something because something is wrong. They read way more into things that just are not there. Why can't you just accept that CJ made a decision to sell the ski because he chose to? It does not matter that he has another one under construction. It does not matter that he had Surgery and knows that he cannot ride for a while. Sometimes people just decide to sell something. Why? Who knows, who gives a crap. If you dont like the price, dont buy it or comment. If you dont have something good to offer, why even bother posting? Nevermind, I already know why, some people like seeing themselves post.

Pete was mentioned also, his reasons are just that, His. He made a choice that for him was more important.

Is this a message board or a gossip board?? hard to tell the difference!!!!!!!

Off to the shop to work on Mountain Bike.

Off my high horse now.

You will now be returned to your regular scheduled program.

Just as an FYI, my comments had nothing to do with the ski itself. My comments were based on the fact that when a builder puts his heart and soul into a build for a customer, it becomes somewhat unsettling for them to just 'unload' it after they take delivery.

Think about it.... you're in a custom hot rod business and work with a customer hour after hour, day after day, making sure you meet their every demand and wish. Now the car is complete... you're happy with the result, and so is the customer. Now the customer takes delivery and a month later, he puts it up for sale. As a builder, that has to be frustrating. Take it a step further and realize that custom hot rods take thousands of dollars to build correctly. For someone to sell it after taking delivery, and it's not a family related issue, that says bad financial management to me.

Again, just my opinion. Not baggin' on the seller.

Get over it man. Re-read my post and I'm sure you can see the point I'm trying to make. It wasn't a personal dig. You already said you had back surgery. That says family or personal reasons to me. I tore my knee riding last summer and I sold off all my equipment. I can empathize.

Or you can look at it this way.

You pour your heart and soul into something, you know it is right. There is nothing that you regret. Customer picks it up and then shortly after he sells it. Does it change the fact that you put everything into it? No, does it change the value or performance? No. It is exactly the same way you built it.

As far as saying "Bad Financial Management", you really dont know what your talking about, your speculating about something and/or somebody you know absolutely know nothing about. Your just creating and adding the very drama that I was referring to.

This is going to come across the wrong way but I'll try to explain anyway....

Just as an FYI, my post wasn't meant to sound like an a$$, but if in fact the sale isn't due to a family related issue (read unexpected), how can you spend that kind of money on a purchase only to sell a month later? I mean we're not talking a $100 dollar purchase or anything. This is big bucks here!

maybe he wants to start his own aftermarket ski dealership.

why does it matter?

you guys get excited here pretty easy.No ? its a solid build,I just find it strange that the first 2 got offed quick,I see the reasons they were sold. I hear a good # are already on order now, even stranger, not many of us have had a chance to ride one,I just cant imagine buying a new designed hull for that kinda $ without at least a test ride to see if it fits your ride style.their wasnt one at the last few meets and tona is a ways off.I assume there will be one there. id buy one if it ripped harder than my sj, Im sure a bigger audience will be looking at these after tona if it empresses the masses

You do realize that there are only 2 that have been completed, 3 now counting lustic's. It is kinda hard for people to test ride them. Those that have ridden them have given "Thumbs up" reviews.

I do agree that it is hard to drop alot of coin on something that you have not ridden, I would be the same.

Look at the FS1's. People were buying them up without test rides, same with the Hydrospace.

You're absolutely right, it doesn't change a thing about the ski or the value of its performance. I never implied otherwise.

As far as bad financial management... if you lay out $40k for a ski, one would assume you're in it for the long haul, no? To turn around and sell it a month later (if not family related) sounds like the purchase decision was not very well thought out.

Call it drama, call it what you will. I don't say much on this board anymore, but I call 'a spade, a spade' when I see it.

And that is the biggest problem with the members of this site. They feel that they are entitled to call anybody out.

So, I am gonna call you out.

You dont have a dog in this hunt, your not adding anything positive to this thread. You do not know anything about CJ, you are just speculating about his financial situation which you really do not have a freaking clue about. You are just ASSuming.

Oh, you left out another theory. Some people enjoy the process of getting something built up, they spend alot of time researching, deciding on the parts, the build, every aspect. Then when the project is done. It is almost like coming off a natural high. I am that way about spec'ing parts for a Mountain Bike Builds. It is fun and exciting to spec out the parts for a build, after it is done. Some of the fun is gone. I still enjoy riding, cannot get enough of it now, hell, I dont even care about riding the SJ, SXR is sold pending pickup.

Hey, its Friday, go drink a beer this afternoon.

I did the same thing with a Harley 1957 chopper all new or refurbished and plated original parts paint mechanicals and rode the bike maybe 4 times had it a couple years and sold it. Just enjoyed building it, since then I have also done the same thing with old corvettes. I had a 64 rag top I drove home to St. Louis from NH after finding it in Hemming's motor news and had it for about 2 months then sold it. It was just fun going to get it and bringing it home with a buddy of mine. Fun road trip..........

Carbonjet,

That ski is killer. Bobby does incredible work and it looks like you only used the best of the best. If I had the cash, I would buy it and I am not that much of a 'freerider.' LOL

I agree with everything you said. I just can not fathom spending that kind of money on a build, then selling a month later. Sorry for sounding negative, but I did preface my thoughts that it wouldn't come out the way I wanted to convey it. That is the last thing I will add to this thread.

Beautiful ski and good luck with the sale. I hope that one day I can actually ride one. And, I will have that beer this afternoon.

I think cj is all set with the dough,so that aint the case doug. Im about ready for a beer myself. looking for ward to tona and seeing what some of these new designs perform like

^^^^ Looks like what should be talked about in this topic to me!!!!

Bobby Is busting his arse to have a demo boat at Daytona. It will be available for everyone to test ride. That should end any questions. He is fully booked through January at this point anyways. Most have tried the rest and now they are going for the Best.

Im sure all that power is not easy on Scotts back either. I can not imagine what Lustic's new ski is like... I here she has got a monster in her.

Has anyone seen Josh practice?

Thanks bro..

I believe Josh has a Webster full custom motor setup, not sure what the displacement is tho but Im sure its huge. I heard that ski will be sold after the finals to a famous F1 driver for big money, then Josh is building another Matrix after that. Im sure Bobby is very pleased that his work has paid off in spades, the hulls are sick.
