Most aftermarket parts do require some modifications. that's why freestyle ski's are considered "custom" builds. I personally , like to walk the customer thru their installation procedure. This help prevent unfortunate accidents from happening to those expensive parts.

I personally prefer using the oem yamaha hood seal ( eventhough it cost much more). It provides a much better seal and wont wear out as quick.

Wish I would of called you from the get go!! I dont mind doing some minor modifications here and there as I have cut this ski and refiberglassed the heck out of stuff on it. But the fitement of this hood is pretty bad I wish I was closer to some of you guys to show you. Im pretty sure If I ordered a hood from you and called you with an issue you would'nt tell me you probably can't get to it today cause Mondays are hectic. :banghead: :lightning:

Naw...there are good places and vendors on both coasts.
Blowsion is one of the top companies. It is very regrettable that you are having bad luck with their product (and that you're getting an understandably frustrating answer on this Monday).
Hang in there, call em back, maybe ask for Johnny. They will help you out, I am pretty sure.

junk man, what if you put some washers on the front side of the hood, between the hood itself and the hardware for the latching stuff?

hmmmm that might work but either way it still is sitting on the gasket to far back and I still have to grind to make the bracket fit. That is a good idea. I just want it to be right so that my ski is not ghetto fabulous and all rigged up

Give Mark(Doc Wok) at Blowsion a call and make sure to speak with him personally. I talked to him about this and he said he'll do whatever it takes to get you fixed up.

Just got off the phone with Blowsion. 2nd call I AM NOT REAL PLEASED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS POINT. In my opinion a company shows its true colors when you have a problem or issue. They were EXCELLENT to deal with while I was buying all these parts. Im going to see how this pans out and keep everyone posted. Pete I dont want to start a Blowsion Bashing thread because I agree its great to have companies like them in the sport. But this kind of service is truly unacceptable in my opinion if I can prevent one other stand up rider from having to go through the same troubles then.......... I think threads like this are important to gather information from. Ive bought and sold and traded stuff on these threads with quite a few people mainly from pwctoday but I see a lot of the same peps between the 2 and anyone that has dealt with me knows im a straight shooter and very reasonable and easy to deal with and im not into company bashing nor is this a company bashing post.

i don't see calling a co. out on their deficiencies as bashing.
this is how a good company will survive and a poor one sink. this justbrings to the attention of the public who to go to for what. so long as there is truth to the story i think it helps us all.

this is a public forum and we are all here to learn from eachother
i know of another forum where you can not speak so freely but the beauty of the x is it is not in private holding. and we can speak from our problems and triumphs to benefit eachother freely

the key is Truth, so long as junkman is not fabricating story to make a bogus call on a company, or have some hidden agenda.

if 4 companies are making a product i want to know who to buy from and who to avoid . that is what is great about a forum like this. if it one of the bigger aftermarket co's that is not doing so good then this can benefit them as well as us.

I did read your post, it said you got off the phone with them for the second time? I meant nothing against you in my post, simply you need help IF you had talked with Dok and you still couldn't fix it.
