UPDATE#2: Ross podiums 2nd round!!! IFWA World Tour

Mike Serlin

NOW SPORTING A BIONIC LEG
Mr. Ross Champion leaves for Europe tonight to compete in the 2008 IFWA World Freeride Tour starting in France April 19. Unfortunately the Portugal stop was cancelled at the last minute so there will only be 2 stops in Europe this year, france and Spain. Eddie Bettencourt (LBE) will be joining Ross in Spain and together will be the only 2 Americans to compete in Europe. They need all of our support so I'll be the first to wish them good luck, and go kick some Frenchy A$$!!!

Well Ross is just a young pup, and I'm gonna try not to break a hip walking down the beach. 26/30

Thanks for the support. I wish I had more ride time on a SJ but I guess I'll just have to charge it!!

Good luck in France Ross!!

Sweet!!!! Didn't know you were going too Eddie, good luck to you and Ross!!

Ross was telling me about his new boat... he says it's one hell of a machine. Will you be rocking the FX1???

No, I didn't ship a boat. I will be borrowing one of the Germans Superjet's.
I have been building a RN but really don't have much time on one.
I borrowed Serlin's ski Sat to get used to the SJ (Thanks Mikey!). It is so much more stable. I feel better about surf ridding but it sure rotates slower in the air. Like I said, I'm gonna have to charge hard!

Mike, I wish you were going. I guess we have next year.

Eddie I wish I was going. Last year it was one of the best experiences of my life. The Europeans treated us very good and anyone with the means, no matter what your skill level, should seriously consider doing the tour. Many of the foreign riders rarely see surf themselves so don't think you have to be Taylor or Ross to go compete. Food and hotel is usually covered during competition weekends and there is a strong feeling of comradery among everyone involved. All of the events are managed in the native language to whatever country were in along with English. It really is an experience of a life time and there should be more Americans competing. Freeride Jetskiing originated here and the Europeans are very excited when we recognize their competitions enough to travel there and compete.
Good luck guys
