So just so we are all perfectly clear.........

1. From a health safety standpoint is is ok and vital to protest to demand change especially for the health and safety of Black people in the United States.
2. It is not ok from a health and safety standpoint to protest against the stay at home order or all gatherings.

Hmmmmmm, that is a pretty blatant double standard they have there. From a health safety standpoint gatherings are either safe or not, the virus doesn't care what your cause is or what your gathering is for.

So which one is it? Is it safe to gather or not?
As long as you share their agenda it's ok to gather.

@CD155MX l can definitely feel you pain and anger. But the cases numbers in Cali keep jumping up.lts hard to deny that this virus isn’t real and may make a lot more people sick by spreading like wildfire. We have a Nascar race coming to Bristol,Tn bringing 38,000 fans to our area, not including the racers and their teams. So it pisses me because our numbers are so low here and this probably will bring the sickness. You probably know l am over 60 and may never recover or die from the virus, even though l am healthy and fit.My business is down,as well as a bunch of others. So l want it over. But people are just being plain stupid getting out and not using any common sense.
So Yes,it’s sucks what you all and the rest of the country has to deal with this poop!! And someone will probably bash me for my comments because we are Americans and we are free! Not gonna take poop from anybody kind of attitude.

lts real MoFo’s!! Deal with it...foc

2 of the 4 workers my son starts the day with tested positive and one is hospitalized. As luck would have it, my son didn’t find out he may have been exposed until After we had already visited and picked up a grandchild and brought them to our home. Further, My wife’s at risk for a bad outcome if infected...So were back on self imposes shelter in place and no visitors.... waiting the outcome of my sons test.....

So it can happen just that quick..

Oddly my co-worker approached me and we were shooting the poop early one day for a minute or 2, before it went to talk to a manager. Next thing you know he’s heading home, iam like where are you going ?

He says his doughter May have got exposed at work, she lives With him at home, and they shut her work down for 3 days. So he comes to work to tell us in person he may have been exposed .

WTF, couldn’t you use the phone to inform us?

Yes it sucks and we are all tired of it but I would rather play it safe and spend the 4th with just my wife and son then infect other family members or get infected. We will probably take the skis out on sunday and enjoy some more family time.

Hey @Sanoman I completely empathize with the concerns of the virus and how it is no joke. I definitely take is seriously. Personally, I've been very careful about where I go and how I do it since about March. Hopefully you can avoid any issue with Nascar coming through town.

My real gripe lies with the draconian measures our elected officials take which leads to the reduction/elimination of our civil liberties. Rights should never be turned into "privileges" just because there is a virus. I feel this can be a very slippery slope situation. A peaceful and free society cannot not achieve compliance by force and still call itself peaceful.

Nascar has only started letting very limited number of fans into the track, like 10% (Friend was at Talladega, sent me pics, he was right at start finish, barely anyone around him. Dont think your going to have 38,000 fans there.

The problem is that if people don't comply, the virus won't go away. I'm in Canada near Toronto. The most densely and largely populated part of the country, and one of the hardest hit spots. North of the city where I live has been fairly good. A lot of people wear masks to the store and 99.5% of people respect distancing. Our numbers are dropping and things have started to re-open. Overall as a country we're at 3 provinces that are covid free, and now people are free to travel within those provinces and live life normally. If you enter from another province you legally have to quarantine for 14 days. It seems like that's taking away freedoms, but if that doesn't happen, the virus will spread back into those places and we'll never beat it. As a country you all have to just suck it up and comply for a while, then it'll be over. If the general public keeps fighting it, restrictions will keep happening, and I won't be able to go to Daytona this year.

Look at the case numbers in Texas and Florida, people were given the opportunity to go back to normal despite not meeting ANY of the CDC recommendations (contact tracing, decrease in cases) for reopening. In Texas we are up poop creek right now because a bunch of dumb/selfish people decided not to follow the smart precautions. The hospitals in the Houston med center are already warning that they will be over capacity soon and they may have to open Reliant Stadium as a covid ward... Our Gov and LT Gov watched what happened in NY and then set us up to be in a worse place than NY was a few months ago. It is going to get worse than that if the models are right.

What has been demonstrated in the U.S. SUPER clearly over the last month is that people won't take simple action to protect the general population or the common good if it means they have to be SLIGHTLY inconvenienced. I really hoped that the general population were better people than that but sadly, I appear to be wrong.

When it comes to the choice of wearing a mask as a precaution vs potentially infecting someone with a potentially life-threatening disease, they say "nah, f_ck that guy I don't want to wear a mask. "

That makes me sick.

Had we just nutted up and said "the lockdown continues suck it up and will get through this" we could have already been out and doing poop. NZ and SK both have already moved in a more normal direction.

I am sorry you feel your rights and freedom's have been violated, the founders weren't Epidemiologists, they couldn't plan for every eventuality. That is why they left the system open for updates.

The theme for this virus needs to change from be scared to get your shonet together; eat better, exercise, get plenty of vitamins, drink more water, etc. Vs the current theme of live in fear and wait for the gov to protect you..

I'm a firefighter. Last check, 10 guys on my department had covid. Several of them couldn't breathe well enough to get up the stairs in their house. We carry 100-150lbs of gear up highrises on a regular basis. Being physically fit won't save you, though it's something more of us should practice regularly anyway.

Did they die or require a stay at the hospital? They are probably taking it better then most. Also if they are anything like when I was firefighter drinking heavily and ibuprofen are supposed to make it worse. :p

I’ve heard some crazy stories from the past, but it’s not like that nowadays. Not here anyway. Sounds like a good time though.

I actually don’t know about hospital stays, but none of them have died. I just don’t believe we can beat this without either taking measures, or losing a lot of people. My dad just beat cancer, but his immune is still compromised. If people who aren’t being careful manage to infect him, he’s done. My friend’s aunt just died from almost that exact scenario. I don’t feel like wearing a mask or skipping out on a few weekends at the lake with friends is taking my freedom. It’s me taking measures to keep from killing others. The better we handle it, the sooner we don’t have to do any of this anymore. And being healthy may keep you from dying if you get sick, but it doesn’t stop you from infecting someone who’s body can’t handle it for reasons beyond their control.

As an US citizen, keeping our rights comes first. Our self determination is at the heart of it all. When we take direction from "those that know better" we become subordinates with no freedom. Saying you'll give up some freedom for a little security, well, you get Canada and gun control to the extreme, what's next. Freedom's are not given by the government they are absolute rights, period, without question. This covid con, is just a tool to take away liberties. Do you know what happened after the Y2K scam? 911 Patriot Law? This entire covid scam shows how people think, sheeple or free thinker. I do not and will not apologize for offending anyone when it comes to my rights as listed in the Bil of Rights. Every year we lose people to the flu, but before now you probably didn't know that, and now you think covid is the only thing that's ever happened flu wise in your life time. Here is info kept out of the media:

On April 8, Professor Jean-François Delfraissy said, “… we’re worried about our friends in America, where the problem of obesity is well known and where they will probably have the most problems ....” Need to change focus! I am not shaming anyone, but I want to put this idea out there. How many lives can we save if we encourage healthy eating and exercise? A mask will not help people fight Covid-19. It prolongs the inevitable. DO THE RESEARCH! Just type “OBESITY AND CORONAVIRUS”

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/201...-extra-precautions/groups-at-higher-risk.html

o your own research and don't listen to the media.
