Other Virus Nonsense

Nope, mostly from idiots partying on 4th of July and not being safe. We have had a huge surge in my area in the last 2 weeks and there were no protests.

Yeah I guess there may be some truth to that, with A lot more of the population celebrating the 4th than had previously been protesting.

My Neighbor went to Santa Cruz for there yearly vacation, July 5th, and shared a house with 16 others for a week. Masks required outdoors but once in a restaurant or Bar, you could take it off..

Definitely both. Can't single out fourth parties and say protests didn't do anything. Where I am at there was minimal protests and the hospitals are pretty empty.

It is certainly disingenuous as a health care professional to just say, "nope" to that question.

I was answering the previous question as to weather all the new cases were from the protests. And I’m not in the healthcare profession.

Don’t forget to add the surge in cases in Tulsa after the Trump rally with no masks or distancing. You can’t just say it was all caused by protesters or Trump. It’s community spread from us Americans being too stubborn and selfish and unwilling to just sacrifice, hunker down and actually give this thing a few weeks to actually burn itself out. This would take all of us and all states to come together and actually have a national plan and follow through which sadly just isn’t going to happen.

Certainly some cases were from the trump rally. There were also some cases from the protests no doubt.

That being said when the cdc allows the question of if they attended a trump rally to be asked but not if they were at a protest, the data is skewed. But that idea was r/woosh because Biden spoon-fed you.

300 test labs in Florida reported 100% positive for all tests conducted.
When questioned by a local 35 TV station they said "Oops, we meant 6-7% positive."
The virus is real.
The hatred of Trump is real.
The China-loving Trump-haters lie to us to get rid of Trump.

Thank God Trump sent two carrier battle groups to the South China Sea to protect the Democracy-loving, Freedom-loving Taiwanese.

The History of the World is the History of War.

Every generation is tested.

Grow up.
Get used to it.
And get ready.

Argument goes both ways... Trump spoon fed you that the virus is a hoax, the virus is gone and he has it 100% under control.

Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

Just to make sure I’m understanding this correctly? Health officials, doctors, scientists, all the other countries my friends that have had COVID are all part of the hoax but Trump is telling the truth. Something here doesn’t make sense.

I never once said the virus the was a hoax. I have, however, claimed that the left is very hypocritical when talking about the virus amd how they record deaths.

People forget that the flu does the same stuff. Flu season in hospitals is no joke either. The local ones usually are full or almost full from flu patients during the season and the coronavirus has been no worse where I am at, or so multiple healthcare professionals have said directly to me.

In hindsight, I realize that my previous post may have come off a little insensitively, it was not my intention to make light of the situation. We had 2 family friends lose a grandparent and uncle to it back in march. My family has been fortunate not to be directly affected as of today.

I have mentioned this before but my wife is a teacher and I am pretty much expecting to be exposed at some point because Texas still has not gotten its shiz together and she is supposed to get kids back in her classroom in a month.

I got it the second week of July from a buddy of mine. We were in and out of a truck all day 12-14 hours and he started feeling bad the next morning. Just unlucky timing for me.

I know a family of 7 who got it. All had cold like symptoms. A friend of mine and her husband got it as well. Only sniffles and no taste.

I know a lot of people that tested “positive”. Every single one had similar cold symptoms. A few were more like flu but no one went to see a doctor. I’ve probably had it or just got it. Had a slight sore throat and stuffy nose but nothing that resembles what people talk about with ventilators.
In all honesty, if we didn’t know there was such a thing as covid, it would just be a bad flu season.

I can share my experience. I was exposed on a Monday (July 6). Thursday morning woke up with a bit of a headache and throat slightly sore. Headache and throat soreness disappeared halfway through the day. Also felt fatigue and chills off and on that day and some Friday. Friday I felt pretty normal otherwise and tried to get tested at like 7am but the place was literally wrapped around the building with people and they filled up for the day. Went back the next day between 5-6am and got in. Tested positive, go figure. No symptoms Saturday. Part of Sunday I had slight tightness in my chest but nothing major. Also couldn’t taste anything much that day only. Never had symptoms after that except I lost my sense of smell at some point, maybe that Sunday. Took a couple weeks for that to come back fully. Overall took my energy level a little while to come back fully but that’s also probably a mixture of sitting around doing nothing for days. Overall I’m lucky it was extremely mild, almost wouldn’t know anything was wrong. Never had a fever or cough or anything like that. Worst part was just waiting for my 10 days to be up so I didn’t expose anyone. Not being able to smell anything for days is very strange though.
