My wife’s in essential Heath care as well and unless she’s actually sick, then not working is unauthorized
My sister is in the E.D. and has dealt with people that later test positive and she had to go to work. Still hasn't caught it either, but I suppose it's a matter of time for her.

Make sure they are taking lots of vitamin D and Zinc.

So I got the covid too boys. Yesterday went from muscle aches to fever last night and extreme fatigue. I got tested yesterday because my wife had popped positive. This morning I got a call I was positive too. Not feeling bad today been pretty productive actually. Mounted a new set of tires to my carbon rims, cleaning garage up getting things put away so I can function in here. Some muscle aches still but fever broke last night and thats it.

Hope it stays that way for you. Can you smell? I couldn’t even smell gasoline.

I can smell and taste just fine. The 2 lone stars I just drank tasted just fine. My only concern is that my kids get it, so I am making them avoid us at all costs.

So who's talking about the aftermath of the virus? Those who were put on ventilators had to have suffered permanent and long lasting lung damage...
What's that looking like?

They are also finding issues outside the lungs. One report claimed that in kids it presents similar to kawasaki? syndrome which is some really rare autoimmune disorder apparently.

OCD: They were really well organized. It required an appt. It was done at a hotel. The hotel provided free valet parking (but I tipped the valet $5).

They had a very linear process, but a single person (phlebotomist) is assigned to you for the entire process.

Take your smartphone. You will need to answer 47 (somewhat repetitive) questions prior to meeting with your phlebotomist. You and your wife want to do that on your smartphones rather than on paper. Give them your email. They will email you your results along with your blood type (I am B+ . . . who knew?) along with your Red Cross donor I.D. number. Once you get your donor I.D. number, download the Red Cross blood donor app. and it will keep all the info for you. And will prompt you when you are eligible to give blood again.

I am going to give blood again. Probably the double donation. Sometimes injured persons need more than one thing of blood, and it is best to have two things of blood from one donor in those circumstances.

Highly recommend.

Just a heads up, I have done double red before and while its an awesome thing to do, it is a really gross feeling. They didn't warn me about it before but when they pump the plasma back in, its colder than when it comes out. I could feel the chilled liquid being pumped back in and trace it as it circulated. Very unpleasant. This was 2009ish so it may not be the same anymore but just be aware of it.

Sean: That further explains to me why the guy on the gurney in front of me who was giving a double dose was saying that he felt cold. He asked for a blanket but they don't provide those anymore because of Covid-19.

So when I asked that guy's phlebotomist about it he said "Bring a sweater."

I just gave the regular single dose without any gross feelings whatsoever. But thanks Sean, because I am now even more prepared if I do the double donation.
