Wamiltons shipping is outrageous (edited)

Bought the Wamiltons freestyle Vol 1 the first day I believe it came out.

Ordered it straight off his site. Didn't say how much shipping was.

Charged $9.95 to ship a DVD from Palm Beach to Orlando. That's really sticking it to the people that keep you in business. UNCOOL!!!

I can guarantee I will never do business on his site again.

I could understand it being some Fleabay scumbag but someone that knows that almost 99% of those will be sold to riders is wrong. I understand the $22.95 plus tax but another $9.95 for a $3.00 shipping...classless!

I really like Wamilton and I think he has some great products, but I had the same experience with shipping from him.

He charged me $16 to ship a set of hoodstraps from West Palm Beach, FL to Clearwater, FL. :banghead: It wasn't even in a box. It was in an envelope.

I asked him about it and he said it was because of oil prices and that all shipping prices had gone up, but it's funny cuz I shipped out many things around that same time and it didn't cost that much. I think I shipped a handlepole all the way out to Washington for like $25.

Hey Mike on a side note I would edit your thread title. That seems a little unprofessional and I don't think you should call him a tool. He definitely needs to rethink his shipping costs though.

Maybe say something like: "Wamiltons: Overpriced Shipping"

I know I should keep my mouth shut, but I really would have liked to see Wamilton give that Novi Carb to someone who needed it. Don't get me wrong he bought raffle tickets and won the carb fair and square so it was definitely his to keep, BUT if he would have given that to one of the young riders who was just getting into the sport he would have earned a ton of respect from me.

Wasn't that his black BMW M6 that was on the beach? Nice car.

I kinda agree with you, that is a bit unprofessional of me but I actually have a few other complaints with his general character. I think the guy is totally in this for the $$$ and doesn’t care about the riders unless they are awesome and wearing his name. He wasn't even coming to the freeride until he was told Sat morn how many people were already there. Pulls up with his whole entourage and proceeds to build a rather large canopy dead smack in front of the hotel and took the carb that he won. ( I know he bought tickets)
that makes him a tool in my book. sorry

I love his products but will never buy direct from him again.

Ok so i have had a problem with wammer and shipping too. Order my movies on the 3rd. Recieve an invoice on the 10th that says they shipped out USPS. Yesterday got an email saying that a wamiltons package shipped out UPS yesterday and will be here the 17th. WTF? So still no movies. They better be here on the 17th.

No. He drove the plain gray Dodge truck with a dented front bumper. That +$100K M6 belongs to the GF of that guy selling those motorized skateboards. I want a sugar mama!!!

I had talked to him several weeks before the event. He had plans well before Saturday to be there.

As for the shipping issue, yeah, that would really bother me too. However, I would never order anything online if it doesn't show my shipping cost BEFORE I enter CC number or anything. If that happens I call them on phone or move on to the next company that has a better shopping cart setup.

I'd say between what Wammer gave away and bought in tickets he could have bought 2 Novi's. He usually throws in the crowed what he wins. He will most likely give the carb to someone as well. Even if he keeps it for himself, its his to do what he wishes and no one should give him a bit of crap for it. He gave more to this ride and the charity than 99% of you!

i dont care to do any business with wamilton. he is the VERY last place i go when i need somehting. and i must REALLY NEED it to buy it from him. he lost all respect from me from his cockyness!

I had talked to him several weeks before the event. He had plans well before Saturday to be there.

Well I was standing right next to him when he arrived Sat afternoon and overheard him telling someone that he wasn't going to be there until he got a call saying "there was an unbelievable amount of people there"

I have the package still and it was shipped USPS for a total of $4.05. Gimme a break "handling". Like I said I would expect it from Ebay but not from a company with the roots planted like Wamiltons.

I'm not knocking him keeping what he won!!! I doubt he will "give" it to someone unless it's Stoyer or such, I do believe he will put it on a ski that he is selling. And I believe he should one to give more to the ride and charity for the simple fact that it's the people at the ride that support his livelihood.
I spent $500 on tickets and another $450 on the WF hood and nosepiece ( Awesome ). I even lost one of my WaterDawg tickets just before the raffle and wasn't overly upset.

he lost all respect from me from his cockyness!

BTW the video is pretty good but the quality of sound needs alot of work.

You own a business. Say your average cost of labor runs you about $40.00 per hour. If it takes 15 minutes to recieve the order, go pick it up off the shelf, get a box or envelope. Print or hand write the label, Fill out the shipping info. Call UPS (if they are picking up). It just cost you $10.00 in Man Labor Hours. So, lets say UPS charged him $8.00 in actuall shipping, or heck, the $9.00 +/- that Wam actually charged. That is a total of $18.00 in actual shipping and handling. But Wam only charge you $9.00 and may have actually eaten the time that he spent packaging it up and getting it shipped out. Just how much do you think he has to pay for these Video's vs. what he actually makes off them??? Not very much.

Price your product accordingly plus actual frt.. No hidden costs is the only legit way to do bus.. He entered his CC # because he felt Wamilton's rep. was good enough to TRUST (he now knows different). But because of this thread I will not buy from him unless I call him. He just added extra labor and costs to his bus..
If he doubles the frt. for handling then put that on your checkout form, otherwise you are ripping people off.

Respectfully

You walk into a shop, they have a Hood and Pole for sale........ Price $ 800.00 for the Hood and $500.00 for the pole........... you pay it............. you just got charged "Shipping" on something that you picked up......

I agree, there should not be any hidden cost... Most online shopping carts will show you what the shipping is, even give you options on how to ship......
