You are not a company producing and shipping things all the time.
UPS gives better pricing to people who ship with them all the time. I'd imagine this Walt guy ships stuff everyday.
You got ripped first of all. 65 to ship a hood from MA to NY, HA? I shipped 35 VOIP phones last month for 50 bucks in a HUGE box that was almost 100lbs (adapters, cables, phones, central unit), from CT to TEXAS. The key is to use your own box and materials.
Also - lets be realistic here. How long does it take to put a dvd in a box and tape it up, less than 15 seconds?
The guy is in business to make money, that's for sho. However if he does stuff like this and nickel and dimes people to death he's going to get complaints.
