At least not a gen 1, seeing as noone makes a lightweight gen 1 hull - that i know of, there were rumors of people developing one, but I haven't seen anything able to purchase. But I would bet that if you gave 20-30k to bullet or trinity they wouldn't have too much trouble building you a Gen 2 that flatwater flips. Problem is noone has had the motivation ($$$$) to build one, anyone who spends (or has thier sponsers spend) that kind of coin on a ski is getting something that is built for competition (aka pole ski) and an X2 is never going to be competitive in freestyle.

Lol. I hope he does it. But you don't see me saying " I want to flatwater flip my Jon boat". Im building my sj to flatwater flip (hopefully). And when I'm done, ill have a ton of money in it.... And a TON of practice. I know it'll be hard. Not trying to Piss off any x-2 guys, but when I first saw a stand ip flat water flip i wasn't like, that looked like a piece of cake.

could be somewhat of a market for you Addix, maybe a few other guys want a carbon hull but dont have the resources you do. some of the fixed steer guys may be all over it.

Phlipcyde is the only guy (on the forums) trying to flat water flip a OEM hull. Hes on his his 6th rebuild. Anything's possible if you throw enough money at it. I hope he gets it done

I don't think you started anything, just when a new idea comes up, opinions come out. I think were all behind you, just stating the problems you may have. My number one problem Would be money.

Its a challenge that I think 99% of X2 riders don't have the resources to even entertain attempting. If you do then im sure every single one of us would love to see it, we're just letting you know that nobody in the states has done it and it will be a LARGE monetary undertaking. Even if you can get a carbon hull built for just material costs it will still be a 2500-3000 hull, and you are looking at easily another 5-6000 for a motor and pump setup with enough punch to flip.

From an engineering point of view, it wouldnt be very difficult at all. Install the same engine/pump combo that the backflip crowd is using and cut 18 inches off the back of an X2. A full length standup will struggle to get all the way around and they are effectively 8" shorter than an X2.

It's best to drop thoughts about HP numbers. Nobody publishes them, nobody believes them, they are useless.
Here's a few rules of thumb:
More stroke means more power, even given equal displacement
Every motor does better with big carbs, good pipes, compression, and total loss. A smaller motor can outperform a bigger motor just based on that.
Choose a reputable builder.
