ridiculous statement. You obvioulsly know nothing about engineering.

If a hood is built correctly to a set of standards and tollerances, you should not have any problem w/ fitting a pre drilled hole....

Where I work, I design 50 or more panels that have to fit together perfectly down to .0625". Don't tell me a builder of jet ski parts can't

Nick, when you using perfection type of equipment of computers and what not...I understand

But for an AM hood fitting the same on one SJ and the same on another no problem at all is a little off. We all know how hulls vary from product to product, we also understand there are diffrent types of latches, hooks, inputs, etc

who owns a WD ski that can ride?

my hood has 3 seasons on it and no problems, it's on the ski in my avatar.

although I cant ride worth a crap (according to charlie) I can tell you it has taken some serious abuse.

$400 is a killer price for a hood. There's going to be a lot of people running them now. I know he sold nearly 40 hood kits on the last promotion.

Do you know of one that has been bad?

Yes, but it is up to that individual to post.

All manufacturers have issues with their products at some time or another, how they correct the mistakes is what counts IMO.

We all have personal triggers that Companies use get us to purchase something, whether it be fit/finish/quality/functionality/price/options/style/customer service/etc.

WD has picked his niche, as has WCF, wammer, blowsion, 24-7, etc...

I decided to put my latest hood on a shipping scale...11 lbs on the nose:woot: I have been able to shave a little weight with changing the laminate schedule and switching to the far superior vinyl ester resins. I believe it is stronger than ever and a little leaner!:Banane01:

Just ride
I've never owned a ski with an aftermarket hood, but the quality of my WCF hood feels like I would be confident in letting my ski go and letting it land upside down from way up.
