other than the old school 24/7 hood I have not seen one hold up as well as Jeffs. I have seen one negative thread on Jeffs hood but quite a few posative, are you saying this is the 1st thread mentioning the quality of his hood?

Mine's holding up very nicely after over a year of sidways landings. It's freaking heavy though.

This isn't all about threads on this board. I have seen his hoods/hulls/other stuff first hand, including from people that don't even post here, or do it regularly.
Some of what I saw was nice, and some wasn't. I have heard of at least three hoods coming apart now, I've heard complaints about them more often than that, and I have seen a couple up close.
So I think I am justified in forming my reserved opinion.
When I drop money on a hood, I don't want to enter a crapshoot of spotty quality (that I've seen/heard of first hand).

I don't believe I have ever seen a complaint about 24/7 hoods coming apart, about Lightweights, about XFT's, or about Trinity's.
Those I would consider, precisely for that reason.

And if I hear bad stuff about other builders or designers, you can be sure I take that into consideration before I spend my money.

The bashing can be stopped, just dont buy his awesome products at great prices and you wont have to wait a month. Buy a lesser product for more money and get it tomorrow WOOT its here. Patients pays sometimes people, it has paid for me a bunch of tiem :nana:

U sir are the reason these threads are worthless. I dont believe WDK sells couch parts so what is your purpose on this thread?

Much less of them sold in US maybe DUH, I have seen a thread on XFT's coming apart and there are few of them used by people on this forum, Trinity has a SJ hood, HMMMM lets see it. I agree on 24/7 nice hood however I have even seen a broke one of those WOW, Jeff has sold more hoods in US this year and last then probably ANYONE else, odds are much greater of seeing bad feedback there I would say and I have still only seen one come apart of MANY. If you are looking for feedback then read and ask informative questions, why feed bash threads?

It was this past fall when i was in the market for a hull and a guy overseas recieved his Carbon XFT hull so I pm'd him and discussed it with him, he said it was all good but the hood. It came apart 2nd surf ride. XFT made good on it a month later. Cant remember his board name but he is now big into X2's. I will try to remember it or look for him here and get back to you if I remember.

How many reports you need bro, I can vouch for 4 hoods of WDK's do you only see the bad feedback?

You guys are not riding surf either I think there is two of us in Florida that go upside down with are Diablo's, and neither lasted very long...... of course we are harder on are boats... I guess thats the price you gota pay to do it real big.... Mean while though I have NEVER busted motormounts, hull has zero stress cracks with minmal reiforcement..... I try to land plate side down :Banane09:

My take, from what I have seen with Jeffs work.

Jeff has great craftsmanship.

But if you want a part that will last a long time, spend some extra dough and go with his pre-preg stuff.... from what i saw at Daytona, it is top notch.

Again, all Im trying to say is you get what you pay for... as long as he ships you the part some day....

Serious question: What is your warranty policy on your new hulls? I see that you have agreed to make replacement hulls for at least two members. If they break, do you repair them? How should they hold up? What will you do for my problem hull?
