Just saw a post on another thread about the skin discoloring/breaking down? Maybe I missed a post somewhere? What the deal with it? I love the looks of these but now I'm not so sure.

The pole is freakin solid as a rock in construction and design. very light in your hands w/o a pole spring to assist. I am still very pleased with the pole and don't think I will ride a ski w/o this thing. I think it is seriously the last pole I will have to buy...........unless i just want something different

Either dont order in CF or have it cleared in auto clear and you will not have this issue. He generally makes the skins in prepreg and paints them. Had he cleared this one it prolly would have been fine.

Or used an epoxy resin, something with more UV protection and out door durablity.

Epoxies(and almost every other resin system) do badly in the sun. Clear is the only way to keep them looking good. Jeff knows this.

I got one of his prepreg/painted skins, it's a better way to go. It doesn't look like carbon fiber but it's stronger and lighter...
