Custom/Hybrid WDK ROK-R Build

I have still been acumulating parts and it's been busy at the shop so I haven't really got anything done. Managed to find a minute today and built the pump. So far I've gathered the following.

XMetal competition length pole
XMetal waterbox
XMetal Trim
Factory Mod pipe
Solas 12 vein pump
Jetmaniac solas mag legnth driveshaft
Hooker 10/16 impeller
2 gallon kart tank
MSD total loss
6 Mil 781 RIVA/Judge built engine

If all goes to plan I hope to get most of it done this weekend.

Patrick

Figured before I slapped the engine in I would go with a fresh bore and Pro-X pistons. Got that assembled today and finally got the impeller shim I was waiting for so now I can install the pump, midshaft and engine. I did toss the pump in to check alignment and I was shocked to see it lined up with zero shims. Makes my life easier. Hopefully the ski will be ready to ride in the next week or two. Its snowing today so I guess there's still time :)

Got the pump and midshaft installed today and set the engine in for a test fit. Looks like my kart tank is hitting the stator cover so need to get a different one. Tossed the pole on as well. Getting close.

Looks good. PM factory928 for correct part # on tank if you need it. You might want to 180 your carbs so you dont end up with a big loop in your throttle cable unless you have acquired a shorter one. Engine looks good in there. Are you gonna run the "long" plate?

Thanks. Yeah I'm going to run the long plate since most guys says its borderline impossible to ride with the short. I plan on at least trying the short plate and see for myself though. Just finishing the turf this weekend and wrapping up the small stuff and should be on the water next week. 48 degree water should be great :)

This hull rides really nice with long plate. Not nose high at all

The plan was to have it on the water today but I wasn't happy with the way the B pipe fit in the hull so I'm waiting for a power factor pipe next week. Next weekend is the new ETA for completion.

What was up with the b pipe

Ski is just to short and rockered the get a SJ mod chamber and waterbox to fit the way I wanted in the nose. Other option was moving the fuel tank forward and running a Blaster Mod chamber, but I got a good deal on a Power Factor so I figured I would go that route. Looks like your setting yours up with a B Pipe and front waterbox, have you mocked it up yet? curious to see how you get it to fit.

No, I think you just talked him into whoring himself out so he, too, can get a PFP setup.
