I wasn't very impressed with the person that glassed in the footholds. The foam filler holes were left open also, so I added a half a pound or less to the ski. I decided to lay one layer of chop around the footholds and also cover the foam fill holes. I decided against paint, so I am going to go ahead and turf it. I might work on that some today.

You should run some fiberglass from the inside of one foot hold to the inside of the other, across the tray for structural support. That will tie the tray and footholds and make them one...

FWIW

I normally do that, however, I thought about it, but decided not too. I think the structural integrity of the tray is pretty good. It seems rock solid when you hit it.

yes, it is a brand new Wamilton's hull. I don't know who there glassed the holds, but I didn't care for the job they did. I don't think it was the same person that made the hull....

My hull already had a trim tube in it from Wamilton's. It was super simple for me.....like installing a steering cable.

I put 1.25 inches of foam on the underside of my footholds. Plush...... :biggrin:
