@WindyCitySki. The factory engines from those are also on their way to Illinois....when I talked to him he said that it was a guy from Illinois who bought the skis. LOL

Here is a photo early on in the build. All photos were taken by the previous owner. Although it doesn't show it, a custom base plate was made. Thankfully, I came across a haul of NOS parts (not your contact unfortunately), including about 15-20 pins for the impeller!

I know this thread is a couple years old, but any info on the drive shaft coupler. Looking to drop a 62T with a raider pipe into my 1990 wet jet. Maybe glass in a whole yamaha tunnel. What kind of top speed are you getting with your set up? I read that stock was around 32mph. I'd like to be closer to 50.

At that point you should be able to run the kawasaki coupler on the pump and a yamaha to kawasaki conversion coupler on the motor. I believe that the brut couplers are different, but I have never seen one to confirm

I’m having a no spark issue. It’s a 432 Brut motor, so the cuyuna stuff doesn’t make Sense for my setup…. How can i test the stator and what CDI can i run? Thanks Y’all.

I have a brand new Tigershark pump amd several Tigershark 640 engines laying around that I could use for this project.

Yeah, well I’m trying to figure out if it’s possible to even get this motor running. Everything else checks out on it, solid compression, and smooth pump spinning. I’ve considered looking for a 701, but really don’t want to throw a bunch of money at this thing off the rip. I’ve been struggling to test the stator resistance, and might just pull it off to inspect. I have a hard time believing the stator just went bad from sitting. Leaning more towards a cdi/coil issue. If you can find that manual and somehow send me a PDF with any electrical schematic/section that would be awesome!.

I also have a running Brut engine in the ski I could do some electrical tests on.
I don't know about a PDF but I can take a pic of the pages and send it for sure, going up there tomorrow I will take a looksee.
