I made some duct tape shoes today as my girl forgot her mountain bike shoe , they were kick ass .
I need that!I have a 3hp 90 volt unit out of our old treadmill if you think you wanna go bigger.
The test run @ 48v. Will have 60v soon and possibly a much larger motor in the works. When lipo's drop significantly in price I will do a stand up.
Dc motors? I have controller that is adjustable. Currently running 1.5hp can go up to 3 with my controls.I guess it's only 2 HP and it's 130 VDC. I do have a second 2HP motor that is 90 VDC but I fried the controller for it.
I'll gladly take it! Still not positive it will work but from the research I've done said best route was a dc treadmill motor and adapter plate. I'm 1.5 hp now but I want to have a back up plan in case mine just dies. The 2HP, 90 Volt motor you can have. I was planning on putting the 130Volt one on ebay to recoup some of the costs of the new treadmill though.
I bought a 2HP 3PH motor and a Teco frequency drive that are slated to go into my Mil so I can achieve 8000 RPM. Once completed, that will free up the 1HP DC motor that it came with.
Between the Lathe, Mill and test bench, I have a wall of TECO frequency drives so I'm ditching all the DC stuff now.
