I fabbed nothing........BUT, I finally set up the tig I bought last year and made a few welds on some aluminum. I have no idea what I'm doing yet but even managed to weld a crack in some cast!
I hope I pick up Tig that quick , I will get it setup this year , trying to get anything tig welded here has become a real hassle.

I didn't find it very difficult. Biggest thing is CLEAN area before welding. You'll see right away why it HAS to be clean. I tried some unprepped aluminum just to see what happens.........DAMN, unweldable!

Out of necessity I made the "Jet Ski RamRod" or "Hooker Hooker".

Sucking up stuff during spring run off (snow melt and rain causing all the debris to wash off the mountains and end up in the rivers/lakes) can really leave you near or actually dead in the water. With the flows getting very high in the river this time of year - losing propulsion or most of it can put you in a losing battle with the river!

The design is basically a compact hook to pull poop out of the pump and then a blunt end on the other side to push poop through the pump. It sits in the hull on the left side and is held captive until you push the quick disconnect and separate it.

I through some rubber hose to hold the hook end and gorilla tape on the blunt end so it didn't rattle around like crazy. Seemed to work!

It got enough use that I felt really good that I made it during this weekend trip! Probably had to whip it out about 10 times total. We covered 100+ miles on the river tho so we put ourselves at it's mercy haha!

Wired up a motorized ball valve that cuts the oil supply to the rotary valve when the Seadoo is not running., built a bracket and mounted everything up, I have to solder two wires and put it back together, already tested and it works great , I used a Polaris LR23 voltage regulator as an AC sensing switch to power it on , it closes automatically when the power is cut.

If you have a Jetski with a charging system you can use these LR23's to power bilge pumps or whatever else needs powering up., total loss ignition, no dice I used on the X2 with the 720 engine to power up the ignition system..

Easy four wire hookup red is power in, yellow is AC power from a stator wire, Orang is 12VDC out to whatever you want to run , then you need a ground to the aluminum bar of the LR23 switch.

First pic is the stock setup, second pic is the modified E-box with the LR23 all wired in , I pigtailed into the Stator wire for the signal and had to add a ground wire for the LR23. and a fuse and holder..

I am adding a screw and nut tomorrow to ground the wires to the LR22 instead of replying on that screw that is screwed into the plastic E-BOX.
