Just remember when you sell 10 hoods you only have 10 customers. When Jeff sells 50 hoods, he has 50 customers. Those customers come back and buy more and more of his products. All at a rate of 5x more than the low production theory. Walmart logic's not so dumb. I don't know about you but I'd rather have a customer base of 500 over 100.

exactly...repeat Customers! Brilliant! And cost will always be king as well! (notwithstanding quality being equal) Simple concept really.

LOL. this thread is too funny.

funny, like tragic???

I can't believe we have a person running an aftermarket company on this site that bad mouths other companies pratices on a regular basis... Wow, you have a lot of nerve, Steve. That is so unethical and just plain childish. It shows you have nothing to offer but negativity... You have lost all of my respect, completely!!!!

Whers your innovation????
What are you doing besides selling low quality replicas of other peoples ideas at premium prices???

sorry, but this had to be said..... once and for all

 I really can't believe that this site has turned into this.

I find it hard to believe that Jeff is making more money by selling them as cheap as he is. I understand that he has sold ALOT of products recently and the whole concept of making it up by volume. How long will this hold up? What's going to happen when the hype wears off and the market is flooded with WDK hood kits and footholds? Will Jeff be able to survive then? :dunno:

Your WalMart theory is fine when we are talking about products such as they sell. This is simply too small of a sport to compare WDK to WalMart.

I have not seen any of the hood kits or REV footholds up close and personal, but I know several of the riders that use them and trust their judgement as to the quality of Jeff's products. I hope that if there are problems that come up over the next few months that we get to hear about them. Steve's products have been indorsed by PanCake Pete and Pat Bogart, so that was good enough for me when I decided to order an aftermarket hull.

I know it's pathetic how Steve acts toward decent companies trying to help the sport...

Personally if I had a choice of dealing with 10 customers and netting $6000.00 or dealing with 15 customers and netting $6000.00 I would chose the first option ,the WalMart approach will not work for small production companies with limited product and limited customer base.

What happens when every member of the "X" who supports WDK has their hoods, footholds, etc.?

Where will Jeff's new customers come from?

There aren't alot of peeps in this sport.

Watercraft Factory, XFT, 24/7, Wamiltions.

so your arguement is they should charge more than what the product worth so people don't buy em as fast, making more potential customers???.... that somehow would be better???

I don't understand??
