Changing my mind every 15 minutes on what carbs to use, what engine builder to use, on and on and on. I should have hooked up with Art Gomez from day one. I would have saved about 10,000.00 if I had. LOL

Good advice. Same advice I give these days. Any money spent on an item that isn't exactly what you want is money wasted preventing you from getting it.

yeah.... If you ride hard enough to snap a hood latch in half or blow a hood off sideways you would know why we run ratchet straps.

I do agree the snap together hood strap is garbage.
But i will never again go with out a ratcheting hood strap.

yeah.... If you ride hard enough to snap a hood latch in half or blow a hood off sideways you would know why we run ratchet straps.

oh it has nothing to do with that. its when i have troubles feeding the two straps through the ratchet i tend to get real annoyed with it and want to sink the ski myself haha i like to get my smokes out from inside the ski and relax on the beach every now and then!

Anything Billet, I hate billet, it weighs more costs more and IMO is less strong than most other comparable items like SS or good cast aluminum. Did I mention I have a lot of billet parts on my new build

Instead of two straps next time use one long strap with the ends connected up at the pole bracket. It's much easier to feed the doubled up loop through the ratchet than two frayed pieces.

All young males go through this learning process, most drop out before much knowledge is gained.

I always chuckle when someone 30 or 40 lbs over weight spends $500 on a carbon part to save 0.5lbs.
