My wife is glued to the cameras today. She stayed up all night watching as well.

Nice quality picture. What make cameras? I will be installing some exterior surveillance soon. P-O-E?

@OCD Solutions your neighborhood is way too quiet for that kind of activity. Wtf??

Our neighborhood is very quiet and so are most of the surrounding ones but all it takes is one bad seed.

The developer got some huge tax break and I'm sure some other lucrative incentives to build a low income housing unit right next to our community. Everything bad that happens anywhere in our area gets blamed on them but I am not convinced it's always them.

Where I grew up, the natives were horrible about coming to town, hanging out for a few hours and then stealing cars when it was time to go home. Everybody knew that and so if you ever wanted to get rid of a vehicle, they would drive it out west, set it on fire and just know it would get blamed on the natives. The cops figured that as much as 15% of the vehicles found out west were put there by their owners.

Mine is quiet and safe as well, but just last summer a guy half mile down the road had his shop robbed. All his tools and a 46 Chevy truck hooked to his own trailer and took it all. Stuff like that can happen anywhere.

And that's why I went with cameras instead of dogs. ;)

Having things stolen is inevitable, knowing who took them is priceless.
It would be smart of me to have cameras. Right now unless they come in the house dogs won't help, but will alert. And plenty of boom sticks in reach. When I've worked 30 hours straight the only thing to wake me up was the dogs. They sleep with or beside me so we have a tune going on and if it's a distress one I always rise fast and hard.

They look harmless and are as long as you're a friend or invited. Anyone comes in the door that we don't know about is in for a surprise.

Amazon 80 sheckles not bad at all
Not bad at all, I just ordered 4 more about an hour ago. $319.19 with free shipping.

Another reason I went with cameras was because I figured that they were a great visual deterrent. We have a brick home with solid doors and an ADT alarm system that is always set. Between that and a few cameras, I figured guys would just move on to easier targets. Obviously there are people out there who just don't think about these kinds of things. I do because I want my wife to feel as safe as possible. If I have to build a compound around us, I will.

I was really worried about her reaction last night but she is more angry than anything. "Get a *uckin job like the rest of us you lazy *uck!" were her exact words.

Yea it's bow season. And I just set the stand up. I had deer on the trail camera. The day before so I thought I would see if they came back at the same time today...... They did not. Should be good in a few weeks when rifle season comes in. I don't think I will fight the heat and bugs anymore.

I have always loved old cars and trucks. Chevy mostly or Gm based at least. My first machine job on a updated old ride. 1966 Chevy II full disk brake conversion. 350/350hp crate engine 700r4 and that's original paint. Sleeper for sure. With 4 piston brimbo calipers all four wheels now.
