That's an interesting tool. Wonder how it would do hardened tool steel or a2Speaking of thread mills, I saw this at IMTS a year ago. Only good for super high production (we are not) and each needs to be custom made depending on the depth of your hole/thread but it was cool nonetheless. They call it the "thriller". Its a spot drill, drill, thread mill all in one. haha the name killed me.

No idea. We told them we do a lot of hardened 17-4 and he said it was no problem. Didn't ask about hardened tool steel since we don't cut it.That's an interesting tool. Wonder how it would do hardened tool steel or a2

Sorry man the max diameter on our machines is .75 at the moment. We have one more coming that will do 1". The only lathe we have that does anything bigger almost never runs so we don't have a lot of stock and usually the stock we do keep on that machine is plastic. It's a medical shop so we do small precise stuff. Nothing very big.Eww.. I need some 17-4 for baffle material inside my silencer. Pm me if you have any 1.625ish solid round drops laying around.
And yes silencers are legal. This one is on an ATF form 1.
Haha sorry didn't have cell service so I kept hitting submitIs there an echo in here?
