We had what will likely be the last Bob's Wake Fest Saturday. I was on picture taking duty.

I could flood this thread with pics (897 taken), but here's some highlights.

How 'busy' is she? My dog who is mixed puts the Tazmanian devil to shame. We had a DNA test done on him and besides being 75% Boston Terrier, the biggest part of his makeup is Weimararner. I did some reading on Weimararners, since I've had a few Bostons and knew their dispositions, and everything I read said "for the first 18 months, your life is going to be a living hell". Well, it's been way beyond 18 months and this dog is still nuts!! I love him, but talk about endless energy......

Sprocket is 4 now and is pretty chill. This girl is crazy! Never had any training or structure. She cannot be trusted. You turn your back or go outside the house is wrecked and chewed. She will get there I have had lots of experience training these dogs. They need structure and a pack leader and they do well.

Weims are definitely high strung. But a tired weim is a good weim.

My buddy left my gate open the other night and mine got out. She toyed with me for about an hour until I cornered her in a neighbors side yard and grabbed her. She literally ran in circles for an hour though and she's too fast to catch.

Tried that. Stood in the hallway with the front door open. Tried treats, toys. She knew she was free and was playing a game with me.

Stole an hour of sleep from me too!

Corgies are a handful too, at least mine is. Shortly after we had my son my wife was still off of work so she decided to take my son for a walk with the stroller and thought she'd take the dog. Well he got off his leash some how and it was the same scenario. He ran from her for over an hour while she chased him pushing a stroller. Let's just say when I got home from work that day several hours later she still wanted to kill the dog. It's hard to stay mad at a face like this though!

Bruce is right. No way you are going to catch one that doesn't want to be caught. I was told the 5th fastest dog and the fastest recorded speed of a weim was almost 35 mph. My Bailey used to try running away when I moved. Guess he always wanted to go back to the first house. I was beside him in my truck doing 25 and he was looking at me with a smile.

My last boxer was a Female Alpha of the litter. she was wound up tighter than a Banjo string! Tore her ACL at 7 months old from being so high strung. 2 rounds of training and daily walks... Happy pup but a Total Bit*h.
- Wife and I both working full time and the recent second child, and were living in a townhouse. We made judgment call to give her to a family friend with 2 other Boxers. I do miss her a lot. But we still get to see her.

What the Fluck were you thinking?

I really don't know. I will say this, I am now fully aware of just how bad my eyesight is getting.

I only paid $40 for this phone so it was worth a shot. Should of left well enough alone though. The power button not working wasn't a deal breaker but it was inconvenience.
