You were so close! It's a thread whirler. The cool thing about them is you cut the whole thread in one pass even when doing dual lead threads. Here is a little boring video on how it works. Not complicated but kinda unique since not too many shops like to fork out the money for them. Skip the first 20 seconds

Seller just accepted my offer! Twin 454s! All parts are there, just need some cleaning and wear items need to be replaced.

I got a bit of machine time in last night and today. Actually wrote and debugged my first CNC program and then made some bling for our toilets.

Why run to Lowes for a $2 part when you can machine your own for 10 times the cost? At least mine won't break...ever!

A lowes run? That'll usually include said hardware part.. Then a meal, and more crap I don't really need. And if taking the wife? Hell that'll involve patio furniture and wall paint plus whatever else.. I secretly PayPal OCD / you x machinist's for a thingamajig and call it good!
