I spent my weekend in the garage yet again. Got a sweet "before and after" shot for my effort though...
Before with 3/8" plywood with an epoxy paint and the after is 1/8" 6061 aluminum. Sure it looks better but does it look $386 better?
Still not ready to do a full build thread on it but it's far enough now that I'm not embarrassed to share some pics.

My day yesterday. Installer called in sick on a shutdown job in a recovery room at the hospital. 13 hours later. Needless to say today I can barely move. All of this is hand cut.
