Apparently Vacation means something different in a woman’s mind than it does in a man’s.

Today I started yet another project that’s been on my wife’s list since we moved into this house.

We have hated this fireplace surround from the second we laid eyes on it. It was not in place when we did our walk-through a week before closing or we would have nixed it. It’s the only one of its kind in the entire subdivision and not at all what was supposed to be there. Like all the other flaws, we sucked it up and resolved to just fix it ourselves later.

Today is apparently “later”.

We had our eye on some really expensive tile but realized we had a few boxes left over from our patio job so we mocked it up this morning and liked it enough to pull the trigger.

We actually let a ton of little things slide and eventually even let a bunch of big things slide as every bit of repair work they did was worse than the original and the net result was worse.

For instance, one of our bathroom mirrors was scratched. While replacing it, they dropped a corner and gouged the quartz countertop. It’s a white counter so we didn’t see it until after they had left, nor did we see that the new mirror had a scratch as well. Like seriously?

They made 2 attempts to repair the stairs and 3 on the master shower before I requested both crews to please just clean up your chit and GTF our house.

I also had to go behind the guy that had repaired a piece of trim. It was in 2 pieces when he started and 3 when he was done. The guy handling our warranty came in to inspect after I had removed it and replaced it properly with a single piece of brand new trim which I shaped and clearancd correctly.

We had enough at that point and just told them to FO.

Is that truck bed off limits?
Or will you be loading that up also?
Looks good

:) .... Thanks.. Yes the beach where I can ride is 4 hours away so we try to carpool. The truck gets way packed, back seat full too... Seems to take awhile to load and I Can't haul the beach karts with the tires on and those ballon tires take up a lot space. Even if don't haul gas outside the bed, just getting a kart out back with wheels attached allows for the other cart to left assembled on bad rack and those 4 ballon tires out from under the bed rack.

I can attach a plastic or aluminum box in place of that gas rack for riding gear too..... or haul my flush water in the gas rack... Opened up my options lol
