Hidden motive? I need to quit beating around the bush then!
:crying:
huh?

:sadwavey: Don’t cry Matt… the Romans got it wrong with the gladiators as we know, when they strayed from the private games in memory of the dead, to the public spectacles dedicated to the emperor. Next big fight to brew, simply implement old Roman Rule again with a seriously modern twist (could be a fun experiment at the very least)! Our gladiators need a closed (since most of it is merely public grandstanding for public grandstanding’s sake anyway) gladiator’s Colosseum (chat room).
When gladiators are in the mood to hardcore fight :swordfight:, just throw them into the Colosseum and let them battle it out with their posts (it could be SFL’s secret little city :sasmokin: , and he would relish and guard it fiercely I imagine). The Senate (moderators/referees, lol) should be allowed to enter the Colosseum for the sake of “fair play”, as well as Emperor Darrin along with his throne, merely to ensure no potential usurpation commences (or if only just for sheer entertainment’s sake)… absolutely no spectators allowed inside the Colosseum under any circumstances (defeats the purpose).
Gladiators should have to be publicly asked by a senator if they are willing to enter the Colosseum and fight, and if they agree, they are then locked inside the Colosseum until the battle is completely over. If the gladiators don’t agree to enter the Colosseum, and then commence to battling within the city walls once again, they get thrown inside the Colosseum against their will, again fighting it out until the battle is completely over:starwars:. If only one gladiator is attempting to fight via provocation, that gladiator’s post should be deleted, and then he should be thrown inside the Colosseum with access to a game such as below, where he then has to master one level before being permitted back into the big city amongst the peaceful city dwellers (and if he is a really good gamer, mandate he master multiple levels :sneaky.
Each gladiator should be allowed to request and have one knowledgeable knight :highhorsechampion, lol) by his side before agreeing to fight inside the Colosseum. Victors proudly emerge to beat their metal breastplates (keyboards):Banane37:, and the defeated shamefully remain inside the Colosseum, again having to individually master the game’s next level (where he/they undoubtedly left off last time, lol), before being permitted to return to the big city. If Emperor Darrin on his throne, along with his senate by his side, rules that there is no clear cut victor, all gladiators involved must master the next level of the game, before being permitted to return to the big city.
In this manner, the remaining 99% peaceful city dwellers are not affected, infected, exposed too terribly much (hence they don’t evolve into gladiators themselves), and the gladiators wishing to fight… get to battle all they desire…everyone is having fun and happy always...wherever they are…life is good! :grouphug:
