Surfriding Whitca's 2015 Krash Predator build

what size motor are u installing from jetworks he ported my 701 this winter think i want to upgrade!
I'm running the same 5mil stroked 900, no changes other than the pipe.

A little tip, Lock tight those screws on the scupper and also re-glue the whole scuppa in your self.
I pulled the retaining screws out and siliconed the holes, I might be able to get them out again with the pump in there to loctite.

Worx 242 needed some clearancing to fit. There is a small half circle lip on the bottom that fits up against the pump shoe that needed to be shortened as well as taking some material off the front too. The recess behind the midshaft wasn't deep enough for the CF tool to slide all the way down, it would slide effortlessly until hitting the bulkhead and stopping. This required 1 washer on each of the top midshaft bolts.

The arm on the steering nozzle hits the rideplate so it will need to be shortened.

Nice, the reaper is so similar to what your build is. But the scupper. that little thing can stuff your whole boat. I have seen about 4 that we pulled out and installed again, we were glad we did.

Have you seen any other issues with these boats? I'm tempted to move over from a FR2 Evo.

Got the last of the holes drilled. U-bolt for limiting rope is in as well as the hood hooks. The area on the hood for the hooks is just big enough to fit the cold fusion hooks. I did make some aluminum spacers to raise up the hull side hooks so the hood sides bottom bolt would clear the hood lip. I also installed the rest of the pole and torqued down the ends.

Onto a part that I'm very excited about. I've had my fair share of trouble with various steering setups over the years. Everything from bearings seizing, steering posts breaking, and generally struggling to keep them from loosening up. I really wanted to get into the over-the-pivot game, but i just wasn't in love with having to buy a specific pole to go this route or deal with purchasing internationally to do so. Jetworks has solved my problem. The new Jetworks Central Steering System is an OVP style steering that uses OEM bushings. No bearings to maintain, turnplates, or additional hardware to keep tight. I'm very stoked to get this installed and put it through it's paces.

my buddy just put one on his rrp and he said he likes it. faster more responsive steering. my only complaint when looking at it was where the steering cable cable attaches is machined into the part as a whole instead of bolting on seprate, and its shaped like a dagger. you do need to pad the underside of your pole when running ovp style steering because you will bash your knee, i guarantee.

No, the build is awesome. I think if you ask around a bit, you find out the 2 or 3 things that make it easier. and then also the issues like zie scupper. We took extra precaution on anything known. I have ridden the predator and find it so easy, considering im a blaster guy, that may not say much.. but it slashed like i wished the b1 would. The reaper to the rescue..

I think the 1st AM build is tricky and frustrating, but now we know, its far easier

i saw that systeme last week on his site i like it show me how it fitts with rrp pad will u need to trim it for the hight?
No trimming with the ninja pad. I'll get pics up shortly.

I thought the same thing about the pointy edges when I first saw it but it's grown on me I guess. Once the bars are bolted on (directly over the mounting ears) they aren't exposed. Padding will go on for sure, heard that same thing from a few different people.

This boat is going together way easier than some of the other builds I've done. Most of the little tweaks have been my own ocd on stuff. This thing is flying together considering I've only put about a week into it an hour at a time each night.

Couple of progress pics. Once everything is in, bilge will get tidied up. Waiting on a silicone coupler to put the exhaust in then it's ready to fire.
