people will purposely overheat Xbox's with bad video cards. Apparently, they have bad solder joints from the factory and power cycling them many times push the bad solder job to it's limits. People over heat the xbox to partially liquify the solder to remake that connection. At least that's the story I've read. Maybe it's a similar scenario here.

Allright guys, I am about to cook a multi channel digital brain in the oven, what temp and how long.

From all that I just read, I am assuming low/125f for 24 hours?

Sure, just ride my ski. I got a new brain w/1 yr warranty, hence the fact that I now am willing to try the oven trick-I have NOTHING to lose and everything to gain.

It's like this, 4 coils, new triggers, totally re-wired 3 times, extra grounds for giggles, stop switch un-plugged-the brain was the last part left of the entire system. Running the brown ch on cyl#1 and yellow ch on cyl#2, I lose fire on #1 intermittanly.

Ditch brown ch and wire up orange for #1 the ski runs great for 20' and then starts swapping cylinders and really goes ape chit, go back to brown on #1 and it runs good for about 1 hour.

add me to this list...f-ed it up with freshwater and cooked it last summer with no help. MSD has a corner on the market of limited life on these brains.
