good to see you are finding out whats going on with these with a good test rig setup to at least get close to real world use,imagine what temps they would be seeing in a enclosed ebox inside a enclosed hot running jetski in july and aug when all ours fried.

I don't know the specifics of the internals to say whether 152F is too hot or not. In all my experience with commercial components, the general rule of thumb has been to keep electronics under 80C (176F) so it's getting close. Industrial and mil spec components can handle more but that would require spending alot more money to build the same device.

Like you say MB, stuff it in an ebox and add the summer heat and that's probably not a good combo.

Some would have you believe that everything would have to be mil spec and cost a fortune to manufacture,a few key components need to be higher quality mil spec to handle the heat. I guess we will see with the new ign coming out soon if there is such a thing as a/m ign that is truely reliable. IF msd made a box stock analog enhancer that did 32 deg with 15 deg retard their would be alot of tbm fw in the world and alot of tl igns holding down papers on decks.

I'm not happy about this timing issue at all especially with what freestyle and race engines cost. It's like running a sloppy timing chain in an old v8. Waiting to kaboom...
