So after watching world finals pro freestyle this weekend it got me wondering? Why do freestylers spend so much money in order to do four or five tricks? It was just the same thing over and over again. Just my opinion. Thoughts?

because there is no wave machine at Havasu?
throttle and trim got stuck?
Cause they have to do 1 more flip or roll than the last guy to be better?
Lost count, was that fourteen or fifteen flips?

If you think its silly then just come up with a better routine and then you can be the routine to copy.

Why do you ride a jet ski? I take it your ski is stock? I bet $100 you cant even do those 4/5 tricks? Troll for sure, I cant even backflip yet but I can tell you it ain't so boring when you yourself can actually land tricks.

Exactly, wasnt gonna say anything but i cant resist, he drove 5 hours to test ride my gen3 bob with a 730cc in it and said it was too powerful... so i dont think he understands the sport, even doing flat spins and simple moves is a blast but if you cant handle even a 730 you will never get the chancd to experience it and therefore wont understand it. I always get people asking why i would drop 30k on a ski but tbey dont ride so i cant expect them to understand

He asked an Question and Stated his opinion. He is entitled to it............... Guess what, I use to compete in Am Freestyle 3rd Place APBA Nationals 2006/2008. Guess what I ride? a Superjet...... Guess what I will be riding in 3 years. A Superjet........ I do not care for the short single purpose designed ski's. It is not my riding style. Best friend keeps his Freak with DASA 1200 in my shop..... I could take it and ride it, no desire. Not my riding style. Just because someone likes something different does not make them a troll. But you come across as an Jackass.

spin, flip, roll.... spin, flip, roll....

What matters is if you have fun doing it, not what outsiders think. The same could be said for every sport/activity if if you want to generalize.

Sorry to burst all you guy's bubbles- This guy is no troll. His Opinion is actually more in line with how the majority of the world sees us and our sport. It's not that we're unknown, and getting on the X games isn't going to help, they simply don't care. If they did like us we'd all be making weekly six figure salaries like the rest of the professional athletes on this planet. If you're doing this for anything other than putting a smile on your own face then you're on a fool's errand.

Funny, im sure the 5,000+ people that made the treck down to the shore line at the London bridge at night time to watch us ride would disagree with you.
People actually do make money doing what we do, doing shows. The last show I did was during the Calgery Stampede and it brought in over 150,000 people to watch in just 2 weeks.

Attitudes like yours is what won't push the sport.

There was more people watching that night show then I saw my entire stay at WF. This sport is awesome don't down talk. Up talk.

In my pinion, the annoying part of the question is being asked on a site where a lot of people are into the freestyle scene. It just seemed out of place to me. Its kind of like asking a Harley guy why he spends all his time and money riding in a biker bar. True, it is a valid question, but it feels insulting when you read it.
