will gas prices effect how often you ride this year?

It's about 50 miles round trip to the fav riding spot so not a big problem. Prolly $7-8 for travel, but the ski fuel is another matter. I usually run about 7 gallons a ride at $6 a gallon at the pump for 110 octane so it ends up at about $50 a ride. Prolly be buying the race fuel by the 55 gallon drum to save 40 or 50 cents a gallon. Anything to take the edge off will help.

I just go ahead and buy 5 drums at the beginning of the season and get it over with. That way all you have to do is pump gas and it's already paid for and doesn't hurt each time you fill up. It'll last forever in sealed metal drums, so if you have any left at the end of the year you're already ahead for next year.:fing02:

If I had a detached shed or shop I would not mind keeping a couple of drums around, I don't like the idea of storing that much fuel in the basement. It would be more cost effective to just go ahead and buy a couple of drums at the start of the season and get it over with.

if it gets over $3.50 it may cut down on my the solo riding cruising around the lake. But i'll always be down to ride with a group of buddys no mater what the prices will be. plus helps progress my game and i fill safer if/when i knock myself out. :D

Hmm I wonder if you can do that with 93 octane too?

also wondering if you need a permit for having a # of gallons of gas...not to mention in a residential area.

Last summer Memorial day through Labor day I spent $15 on gas to travel to work, savings there. On the ski, I'll just practice BR closer to shore!

Won't stop me. I make more money now, have less expenses (well, once my other house sells), I live closer to the water than last year (3 miles of city streets vs 18 miles of hills and canyons).

I don't care what gas costs, I'll keep buying it for my toy.
Never even bothered me filling up at European prices.

I don't drink which offsets the cost of fuel. :silly:
