Yeah we should still get to gather sometime. Just hit me up some time if your by loveland. How is the 650sx going?

Found a single carb wet nitrous system set for 10-100 hp boost I'm gonna get after next pay check for $500. Back 7" I cut off are sealed in, foot holds are glassed in and need to buy some two part foam now. Starting to reassemble engine and sanding/polishing it up.

And don't worry, instant Boyd opens I will be there all the time (assuming I stop being lazy and just finish the ski). What else am I gonna do with a 7+ hour gap between two classes in Longmont and having Friday-Sunday off? I've been couped up inside way too long :banghead:

Just a update... I finished the carbon fiber last night and it looks amazing. I am going down to work on it thursday and friday after school and I am hoping to have it ready to glaze by next week. from there after the glaze is sanded down and smoothed then it will be ready for primer. I am getting very close on it and hope to have it painted in one month.

I also did some foam and shaved some more misc. weight. I am going to try to do this with minimal resin and bondo. I am trying to loose more weight than I cut off. I cut a lot off the inside of the hood.

Where did you get you fuel tank? I have been searching around for that perfect one. If anyone else knows of any good one please let me know. Also what do you all think about completely cutting off all of the fiberglass where the fire extinguisher mounts, and foaming that into a semi flat, rear deck similar to a stand up. then fiberglassing footholds into it and covering it with turf.

I was out at my local salvage yard getting some stuff for my truck, then I found a huge riding lawn mower section. I think I took it out of a old snapper riding mower. Yeah I lucked out with it. It is perfect shape and size for my build.

There have been quite a few guys that have done what your talking about minus foot holds. I was thinking about dooing that but I figured I would gain alot more weight from it than it is worth. You can see a few of them in the x2 picture thread.

This is a picture from when I started the build. The tank is 2 to 3 gallon tank. It fits the curves of the ski perfect. My friend is holding it up about 6 inches in the picture but I will make a foam mount that let it set lower.

yeah Every thing fits perfect but I just have to run the 650 westcoast manifold with the pipe so the head pipe dont hit the side of the hull. But I need to find someone to bore my manifold out! I cant find anyone local for decent price. If anyone knows of any one or can do it them self let me know!

What are other shops charging? I have a mini mill, and access to larger machine equipment at work. Though I'm far from a pro machinist.

I wanted to know the pros and cons to dual carbs on an x2. I've heard that they add a lot off horsepower and response, and I've also heard that they didn't add very much mph and are hard to tune. Any help? I also bought reed boosters.
