Who says a seat gets in the way of surfriding?

don't get your panties in a ruffle now...

I was mearly pointing out differences... and yes a seat can be in the way if you want to ride with a surf stance

cool.... BUT!!!!

for 2k you can go buy a h2O-x hood and have that ski but better...

Yamahas are more reliable... IMO
more aftermarket parts available for freeriding
no seat in the way for surfriding
lighter hull....

it sounds like it would be cool, but I just don't think it could compare to a h2o-x conversion

nickys right on this one, i have had x-2's and h20-x would be a better way to spend all that $, i mean arnt they like 10grand, its cool/novel but not 10 grand..................................................here i am seeing eye to eye with the hippie again......................i getting scared:boggled:

It is kind of a toss up when it comes to stance. On the superjet you can ride regular or goofy foot to gain stability. However if you want to ride parallel stance in footholds on an SJ or straps / waterski toes on an X2 you have a wider stance on the X2 without the gunwall outside of you. It gives a more balenced feeling with the wider parallel stance and is easier for someone newer at it than the sideways stance. With the fixed motocross steering system you don't have the need to stand sideways so it is pretty obvious it will be an easy machine to ride in surf compared to the SJ or the SJ-H2O. It is apples and oranges. The SJ feels better tearing the lip off and carving the face but the X2 will bulldoze re-entries in nasty stuff and let you get away with stuff you would have to be a lot better on the SJ to pull off.

Courier depot, that was on Friday.
Rode it in the surf today, horrible conditions 3ft choppy 20knots cross-shore wind.
Handles very different from blaster, very maneuverable, nice carving and sliding off the lip-break.
Two people can pick it up easier than a blaster, you can feel the weight difference.

I heard a stock blaster only weighs 30lbs more than a stock square. Any body know if this is true?
