Ok so I have not one but 2 builds going this year. Here is my 2nd. I am taking the motor out of my SX-R and putting it into my X-2. Here is a list of things to come.

Motor 800cc SX-R
Rad Flywheel
Milled head
Advance kit
MSD Coil
SX-R electronics
Impros Impeller (not sure what pitch yet 12/17 I think)
Ported pump
Coffman Exhaust (my wet pipe won’t fit)
Wet Wolf cone
Rebuild UMI
Relocate Exhaust Outlet
Tubbie 2’s
Re-enforce transom(cracking) and nose
Paint?????

I’m hoping to get both the SN and this done by Daytona. Here are some picks as I get started. I am sanding now and should be ready to start glassing this week.

I have a 15.5 with a kick done by impros used one season for sale. Great shape.

I saw the 15.5 you have for sale on the other site, if you look at how big the center section is compared to the swirl you will know why the swirl works so much better. The old 650 design was made to limit the amount of water entering the pump area. It almost makes me think Kaw had future plans for the 140mm pumps way before the 750 or the 800 came out, knowing they could process much more water than a 650 could handle.

So I sized up the tubbies tonight and got everyting ready for glass. Can someone tell me how far from the back they are. I measured 40 1/2 inchs seens right but blowsion told me to used the 750 measurements at 35 3/4 and they are way to far back.

Look closely at how they lay against the side of the hull. When I did mine, it was fairly obvious where they would need to go. After I got one where I wanted it, I measured and matched the other side. I don't have the boat anymore or I'd measure it for you. Here are a couple of pics of how I did mine.

Crammit, Thanks for the picks that is about where mine line up. As far as the b-pipe goes I know it will fit the problem that I had was the Kawi headpipe for the wet pipe on my SXR is differant than the ones for 750 and superjet. I have a mod pipe but that is going on my square.

So I laid some glass today to seal some holes and mocked up the Tubbies. I will be mounting them this weekend.

SXR Wetpipe has the same head pipe as a Yamaha B-pipe.

Scorn is right. There is acouple of millimeters differance in the mounting. the 750 limited headpipe is the one i need to find in order to get the b-pipe to work.
