motor is ready to be dropped back in. just waiting on a few goodies in the mail. probably be ready to ride after this weekend, fingers crossed.

well the ski is done. I just need to get a ride plate, but for now Im using my full length r&d plate. she handles great (wont know exactly how good it is until I get my other plate) the engine wasn't hitting as hard as it normally would, I think its due to the super cold water, and having duel cooling. the water coming out of the engine was only luke warm. Im going to have to put a limiting valve on for now. My new battery is insane! super light, and turns the boat over with no problems.. heres a few pics:

hey corey, glad to hear you went out, get that motor to the right temp, using handle bar warmers is the best way to monitor the engine temps. what are the screws set at on your head pipe?

I didn't even touch the screws.. the one right on the top of the head pipe is pretty much flush with the nut holding it on. maybe one thread out.

the pipe wasn't even getting hot. but it was absolutely freeeezing out. it was snowing! by the end of it she was running a lot better, but still not 100%. but I know that water was rushing through it way too fast.

how did you run your cooling. the water is very cold so i monitor the engine temps with my handle bar warmers. I run an adjustable flow restrictor and adjust until it is too hot, thats when i dump it over board for the summer. my pipe i run seperate from the motor and it is not preheated so it always runs cool, i close all the screws except one, it is open about 1/16th of a turn and runs it almost dry. i never get it to sizzle.

I ran my cooling the same as you or scotty. I have to find a valve to throw in there. And I think ill do the same with the hand warmers so I can feel if its too hot or cold. So the like that goes up to your hands is the one coming from the head?

yes i have two outlets on my head that i tee back to one and send it up the pole to the bars.

Cool man same set up at me, except mine just pees in the lake. Ill have to hunt down a valve and enough line to make it up to the grips. Where did u get ur vavle?
