Part 2 of build

Updating this thread from last year...

I focused mostly on the hull last year. But, this year, with help from my buddy Steve @ Canadian-freestyle Im focusing on the power plant of the ski. Picked up a JM 718, mag pump, msd TL, atp 48mm carb, atp intake, along with a bunch of other goodies. Im planning on lightly re enforcing the hull's engine bay, new turf, and maybe some new holds.




so I started off with my pump. Grabbed a new skat 12/17 c75 prop, an ATP turn nozzle, and of course a solas mag. hopefully this set up rips... from what everyone is saying it should deliver the power to the water pretty good... anyone else has a similar set up??

Very nice setup Corey. It will rip. what is your reduction nozzle size? Where are the motor pics?

Ill have some pictures up soon of the rest of the progress thus far. the nozzle is just stock bore. Ill just hone it out if it needs to be

what did you use to paint your reduction nozzle just spray bomb?

laid some carbon on the inside of my hull today. just finished one side, going to do the other tonight. while doing it I was thinking to myself, its 22deg out and my boat isn't close to done. Really makes me want F the other side and just leave it the way it is. Im hoping to have her done by the weekend but Im not sure if It'll happen...

lol, I hope I still fit in my wetsuit! gained a couple sitting in school for the last couple months.

So I laid some carbon on the top deck in the engine bay, mostly for looks, and painted the bottom deck a nice bright white... its turning out alright, wish it was a bit better but the warm weather is here and I just want to get this thing together!!!

Im getting there.. Msd is all timed and mounted.. motor is shimmed, just gotta throw the damper in... waterbox mounted.. steering is set up...

basically just need to throw the bpipe in, route all the cooling, gas tank, fuel lines, ride plate, intake grate... should be good to go tomorrow!

I ended up picking up alex's spare fw that I didn't know he had. the ring gear is a big worn in the one spot but it should get me through until I find something better... dont want to run the risk of taking out the pickups and bendix, thanks for being a guinea pig, hopefully you can get your shait up and going again soon.
