They told us no guns allowed not even in your car.
Sounds like its time to find a new job. And unless they search cars at random, im not letting anyone tell me what I can and cant have in my vehicle or on my person. Even Maslow put safety and security in his heirarchy of needs, so if they give you crap tell them its a basic human need to feel safe and secure and thats what makes you feel safe.

We have the same rules at my work. Which is total BS and of course security found a gun on the front seat of someone's car that person was not white and they got to keep their job of course.
Don't think that would end up the same way for cracker man me.
If your state allows it and you have a license you should be able to keep it in your vehicle.

The owner of the company I work for asked us if we would be willing to keep our guns in our tool boxes in the shop, not just in our vehicles. The manager then informed him that our handbook prohibited because he (the owner) had put it in there that they weren't allowed...

Before I retired I worked on a military base where it was highly encouraged for you to get your CWP and carry in uniform. I was part of an organization that didn't want anyone to become a victim as well as having to means to protect others though. We played by big boy rules. Civilian companies unfortunately are too worried about getting sued. Very unfortunate. I don't ever want to be anywhere that I am unable to protect myself or my family so this really dictates on where I go on trips to or vacation destinations. Hate to say this but I even carry when I go to the movies. Better to be tried by twelve then carried by six.

Our base doesn't let anybody carry. It's pretty much gate guards, SP's, and the marines on the back side of our base. It sucks because you get out of the habit of carrying and then you start forgetting to take it anywhere.

Yea, I worked on a National Guard base. Our rules were a lot different than active duty. But, I carried when I went there to, along with a lot others I presume.

I find it to be a competent platform in the sub compact category. Ergonomic for me, points and shoots well, more accurate than I am, good follow up when proper fundamentals are applied (124gr. JHP about 200 rounds) and seems to conceal well. Is it a value compared to other options, not for me, but may be for others. The price is a no go for me and I don't find it to be superior to other offerings that are priced better. Rent one first and judge for yourself.

Thanks for the info. I just received my CPL so am now in the market for a ccw. I will most likely end up with the 2.0 shield in 9mm because our department duty weapon is the full size M&P 2.0 in 9mm.

The M&P compact deserves a look if you want to have a continuum unless you prefer to carry an extra mag in my opinion which means? You choose, comfort or capacity. Comfort is nice and you "never" need more ammo until you need more ammo. Sub compacts, I find more difficult to use with consistent effectiveness, with the small frame and poor sight radius. I feel a light is a must also. Can't go wrong with a shield or whatever you are consistently effective and competent with in my opinion. Have fun.

I picked this up back in the fall after my Glock 19 got swiped. Was in Atl for Supercross and Paul (Jr.) and I went shooting at indoor range. (My first time in a range!) Shot his regular Shield 9mm vs my Performance Center 9mm. You could really tell the difference. It is a good size, not to large nor too small to effectively shot accurate.

That is why I was interested in the 365. It has 33% more capacity than the shield. I feel the shield would be much easier to conceal over the compact during summer months
