Pulling motor next I’ve tried two sets of reeds now. First ones were carbon petals and was hoping that was it, replaced with oem and same results.

Nope Brand new JM box didn’t fix it

Does anyone think bpipe screws could cause this?

Tried 3 coils, third being new rebuilt by OCD. Def not coil

Any idea what that could mean or be caused by? I have not tried a new stator yet but I have tried new plugs. Both plugs are wet and black when pulled. When I pull the plugs there is actually oil/fuel that sits on the dome tops that I have to wipe off..

This is actually the 3rd coil I’ve tried in it since the issue began so I’m like 99.9% sure it’s not that. The black stuff out of the exhaust is pretty normal for my ski I guess I could say. It’s always done that. Also in this tank I’m running quicksilver oil so that may be contributing to the...

I took them off and examined them and they are def good. They are carbon petals. I held them up to light and only a couple had barely a pin of light coming through end.

Any reason why one side would be much darker than the other?

would it still have exactly 170 comp in both holes?

I will check that but the ski runs the same out of water and in water

yep I emptied the tank and put fresh in

Neither were stuck open when I took the carbs apart to clean them. Also didn’t stick while performing multiple pop off tests. carbs are synced. Triple checked

Its tougher to check with a cold fusion tank but I am going to go through that this week. Edit: tried with on and reserve and ran the same on both so doubting its pickups. Also going to try a different set of reeds. I’ll report back.

start/stop switch is brand new, along with the ebox side harness

I can test them but I'm almost certain it isn't coil since I already changed that out for a OCD rebuilt w/ new wires, plugs etc. from JM. Battery is relatively new and ground is tight, I ground to stator bolt so I know it's good.

Can you explain this test some? I’m confused how this works. If you crank the motor, doesn’t the flywheel spin, thus it wouldn’t line up with where you made the mark on the case? Sorry if this is a dumb question
