    2nd life for engine mounts

well my boat's not stock thus i'm writing this post because of the issues im having braking engine mounts. haven't caused any other damage yet. but im sure its only a matter of time. so when the mount breaks, the washer holds onto the inside of the mount. where the rubber attaches to the...

    2nd life for engine mounts

na the idea is the bolt and washer inside the mount are LOOSE. its only tight between the mount and bedplate. so if the mount brakes, then yes i wld hope you'd feel the vibration and head to shore.

    2nd life for engine mounts

hi just wondering if anyone's done and if not what your thought's are. i am referring to kawi engine mounts, don't know if this would be viable for yami's aswel. so instead of bolting your bedplate to your mounts. you put a longer bolt (same thread) through your mount from the inside with a...

start simple fella's, same exact thing happened on my 750, turned out to be where the start stop switch wire's join into the electrical box. the (waterproof) connections had got water in them and were shorting out. like i was hitting the stop button as soon as the ski kicked over.

    Starbars handlepole

im in Aus, and the pole, chinpad, turnplate and bars cost $1500. the rrp pole alone is about $1300 i think. The length is adjustable by putting these big washer things in between the tubes and brackets. but they're ugly and heavy so im running without. i've only ridden with the pole for mayb an...

Got Spark, got fuel, got compression, no start?

hate to brake ur bubble 'prerieshaul', but they do fire at the same time. And a similar thing happened to me, would crank, spark, new plugs, fuel everything, was simply the starter going bad, shorting between the pionts inside the starter itself. still sparked, only whilst cranking the starter...

    new problem for me

similar thing happened when my startor motor was on its way out. (if u'v seen the inside of a startor motor, there's two +'ve and two earthed bush things, and one had almost lost connection). thus it was using much more battery guts to crank and only started once i let go of the start button...

    bad reed symptoms? again...

yea she turns over nice and easy. though i checked both plugs for spark, which they did, i since tried running it on 1 cylender. and on the rear it will start up and run (exactly the same as when both plug leads are in) but on just the front it wont start at all. so im changing the plug leads...

    bad reed symptoms? again...

well there's planty of fuel, carbs aren't blocked. plugs are new. it starts fine, (idles rough) and when i open it up its like it wants to rev up but just isnt sparking fast enough, its like the sparking relay is stuck on idle or something... ( i cannot imagine any mechanical problems that...

    bad reed symptoms? again...

ok i replaced the head gasket, to no affect! still starts first shot, but idles really rough and when givin a little just goes even rougher... it starts to bog down if i keep the trottle open, due to an excess of unburnt fuel. Is there any electrical problem/s that would cause this? i've gone...

    bad reed symptoms? again...

ok so i took out my reeds, all seem to be good, no chips or anything. the petals themselves seem to be made out of plastic, they all seal closed and everyhing looks fine there. so...? maybe severe air leak? cannot imagine that to affect it so suddenly or so much. perhaps the timing exitor coil...

    bad reed symptoms? again...

i've read almost every thread from searching reeds and still not convinced. my problem occurd whilst riding, the ski suddenly lost all power and wouldnt rev up and started running really rough. almost an idling speed i would say. easily starts again every time. so... i have cleaned out the...

    SX/SXi/SXi Pro Cold Start Issue

Na it wasn't getting fuel at all with the choke's 'on' before. i think the tank would de-pressurise and it wouldn't have enough crank case pressure to pull the fuel through again, used to have to squirt some start-ya-bastard down the carby throats or in pistons to get it started before. now...
