You should be able to pull the motor without pulling the electrical box. If I remember right, there's one cable that runs from the fly wheel back to the electrical box... where that goes into the box there should be a bullet shaped connector that you can unscrew and then the wires are plugged...

If the gas is in a continuous loop then it shouldn't much matter which line you choose... other than if the fuel drains out of the return line when sitting then you would need to turn it over a few times before you would have fuel to the primer. Sounds like your instructions are for an older...
