You can mill down the factory pipe manifold where it connects to the cylinder a little bit. I did it on one of my Fx1’s so it would not rub as bad.

I always use painters tape to make a template. That way, all of my edges are cut prior to glueing onto the ski. Makes for a much cleaner edge. Also, the type of painter tape makes a difference as well. The stickier the better. Multiple layers helps

Use dolphin glaze or everglass for pinholes that need to be filled right before primer. Much easier to sand than any epoxy/Cabosil/microballoons mix and epoxy doesn’t always get into every pinhole. Plus it leaves an extremely smooth finish.

My parents drive back and forth from Dalhart Tx to Turlock Ca once a month. They will be headed back to CA on the 22nd. Houston is still probably 10 hours or so from Dalhart though...

Stock plates work perfectly fine. Most guys switch to shortened plates or over pivot for less “swing” effect. More like a dirt bike or bicycle. And also aftermarket setups accept fat bars and use a bearing rather than bushings. But by far the biggest reason to switch? Billet Bro!

Maybe. Maybe not. One thing is for sure though, it has ruined the financial future for many many small businesses. And has put some, or will be putting some, out of business altogether. And while for some people with jobs that can work from home or they can afford to take a couple weeks...
