Just playing the waiting game letting this beast dry. If my package tracking senses are correct I'll be recieving some resin and a roller in the mail today, so I'll probably be back at it casting a copy of this plug tonight after work.
Widened superjet pump tunnel! I am getting ready to paint this thing and give it the final go ahead to copy and install into my foamie. I have a few supplies in transit so I'll be able to glass over the foam pretty soon as well.
Well I am going to get back to it!
I am actually getting ready to head back to the shop right now, probably have some pictures late tonight or in the morning depending on how late I'm at it.
Wow! That thing is sick! I built mine out of crap I had lying around in the garage and an old sport bike after I did a 50mph face plant (thank god for full faced helmets!!). I am sure it pales in comparison to your machine! You ever make it up to silver lake sand dunes? I know its a long way...
I don't plan on using this for my mold. I was going to use it to cover my foam, and then cast the mold from that. I have been using the auto parts store stuff hahaha... I work at one so I got a good deal. I have some epoxy resin on its way, now I just need a large amount of cloth and a roller or...
I'm thinking about picking up a little glass cloth to cover my foam model ans to pull molds with. I have some already but its just the stuff you pick up at the auto parts store. I found some for what I presume to be cheap on ebay, just looking for a little input on it. It doesn't really have to...
No I want to be able to make multiple hulls, Ill probably make a jig using my square nose to set it up.
The front half of the bottom of the hull is close to being finished. i am going to finish up the rear portion once i get a little more meat back there.
Ha and a pic of a sport bike powered...
I am confident i can make it happen. I'll watch every youtube video, read every thread, obsess for months. You know the usual. I am sure when that time arrives I'll be asking a million questions..
I plan on using vacuum infusion 100%. I am getting pretty close to having the front half of the hull done, I think i am going to experiment with a red neck router to help reduce sanding time for the rear half will have no real contouring.
I have a friend with a machine shop, I am thinking maybe machine stainless or aluminum hardware and glass it in.
i was going to try to cast the inlet to the pump from my square, but after i started sanding out the hull i think ill just make one. It is quick work really, the hardest part is...
I of course want to have a finished product in carbon, but for right now I'm going to shoot for making a mold and I'll go from there. I have never done anything like this before so I am really just kind of flying by the seat of my pants here. I feel like by the time I do all of these hull mods I...
I see alot of you guys doing alot of custom work and I wanted to jump on the band wagon! So I started sanding my square nose... tearing it down to nothing. But after reading every build thread ever I came to the conclusion if i do serious mods to my square, I'll end up with a tank. So I went...
I just swapped a 701 into my sn and am looking for a little advice for my jetting. currently i am running a 135 main 100 low. I am not sure about my needle but my carbs and intake are from a gp1200 (slightly modified of course, dual 44's) and my spring is silver so i would say its probably a 2.0...
so what you are saying is a 701 exhaust will fit a 650? I plan on switching to a 701, and thought about purchasing a riva pipe near me for a 701. I could have the pipe now, and would if it worked on my six-fitty.
Any news? My ski mysteriously has no spark, I replaced the cdi and nothing, ohmed out the pick up and coil. Coil seems out of spec, but then again so was the cdi. I was thinking about using a gm waste spark coil in its place to test. My stator and pick up coil both test fine and are minty...
