Snapped my fly wheel bolt. Cant find one from shops in sydney as they all saying they got to order ftom usa with long delivery time. Can i use another bolt with the same thread. Couldnt work out the thread either. Metric 10 and imperial 3/8 where the bolt diameter size but thread dont fit.

Thanks i got it off. Had to tap flywheel with a soft hammer. Force alone wasnt enough. And tapping puller didnt work. Reading stuff says not to hit flywheel but alas it was only thing that worked

I cant get flywheel off. I bought a puller. Its a dasa 900. Havnt pulled one on this motor before. I am up to 100 neuton meters of force and it aint popping.

I am located in Australia though. I will try pulling off the flywheel cover etc. I got an 800 SXR lying around will the kawi starter / bendix fit the starter on the DASA. I would assume it is running yamaha parts. I dont have either parts off at the moment to compare.

compression is good. i pulled the carby off to clean it and checked the reed valves. I found one of the reed valves was broken in the cylinder that is backfiring so i will replace that and see if it makes a difference to the backfiring.
