Stator is in flywheel cover so yeh motor stays in boat and you can look at it. The manual has a resistance check ya can do on the wires to check it.

I plumbed it this way and When running hose through pisser to motor on ski trailer the exhaust pipe is getting hot. Dont remember that happening before. Pipe doesnt seem to be getting water. This is how i flushed it before.

i got multiple carbs here. i am going to run 40mm now with the old jets and new 2.3 needle and seats as the old ones had wear groves in them and caked in salt corrosion on the bottom.

Thanks i seem to have a baseline. Just following the manual. Gotta do some water testing now and check the plugs. So gotta learn plug reading next.

its been rejetted to different specs and it it running high air flow flame arrestors so changing to 2.3 as it previously was.

i found out from manual after reading this that you have to measure about 17mm up from the bottom of the piston. This has less wear. The top is actually smaller due to heat expansion. mine measure at 82.3mm so i am .5mm oversize. the stock should come it at approx 81.9mm.

Its stock motor, stock exhaust and 44mm stock carbs. I will check the jet sizes and see if they are stock maybe they have been changed and maybe that is why it is larger possibly. I bought it second hand. Manual says stock size is 1.5 that why i got 2.0 seats which i thought will be better then...

Rebuilding motor / carbs. Got new needle and seats for the carbs. They are duel 44mm mukini. Purcahsed 2.0 needle/seats then pulled out the old ones and found they where 2.3. Manual is telling me stock is 1.5 needle and seat. Should i put 2.0 in them or try and swap for 2.3. Got stock motor...

I got pistons with 50 printed in the middle of them on the top. No other markings. I wanted to replace the rings. who knows what size piston this is. standard or oversize ? my calipers are measuring piston at 82mm which seams to be stock but i get a bore size of 82.3 approx. Dont know how...
