Almost done with sanding and a little filling work. Gotta wait for the aluminum pump ring that takes the place of the pump seal so I can finish with the pump install. Then its paint, pads, decals and drop all the parts in. Hope to have it painted mid week

I've also heard x-metals manifold allows for propper opening of both reeds. I run a riva manifold but only be wise that's what I could afford at the time

I've actually heard that the boyesen manifold doesn't allow for the reeds to open equally on the top and bottom reed petals

Like said above, getting all the good bolt on's is better than a big engine with the wrong bolt on's. Going with the cheaper PHP 937 and spending the extra money you saved from not getting the DASA on stuff like MSD tl, NOVI 48s, PFP, big pump will be better... Just my .02

From the non straight lines on the inside of the hood seal area it looks like a lightweight octane made by Dan(highroller) I had one a couple years ago, I was thinking that might be it but mine had no bulk head, was a -6 hull and had a big D cut on the back of the tray

It's not a stupid question. You do want the chamber to have some heat to it. By putting a hose clamp around the hose going overboard and tightening it down, water will stay in the water jacket longer making the chamber get hotter

To get the chamber hotter run a hose clamp on the line at the end of the chamber that goes overboard and tighten down on it till it gets warm. Set it up so it's cooler than the waterbox but still warm
