Yup all over it. DAG's hooking it up. Even though it was old and weak i could not believe it ripped off like that. It was so funny trying to ride back in with no ride plate. Porpoising like a MOFO
So here's what happened after catching some good air. The ski landed in the water completely vertical with the back end first. And there's no chance this hit bottom.
Will a VXR ride plate fit on a 1997 superjet? Mine ripped off the other day and looking for a quick, cheap replacement. Stock is fine. I'll post a picture of this later you guys have gotta see how it ripped off.
Also let me know if you've got one for sale.
Thanks, Ross
Yes the rope can be squished under the hood latch but not at the very end of the hook. You have to pull the loop down over the bottom latch as you clamp the latch. Then if you want to lock the latch you need to push hard against the latch and twist the lock knob at the same time. That is the...
I know a thing or two and could always help if needed. I'm in Milford, CT and i ride on the Houstatonic River. Feel free to PM me whenever. Curious what your build is?
Based on the clicking it sounds like the solenoid is good, meaning start/stop switch is good too. Most likely it's the
-starter
-bad connection between solenoid and starter (positive wire)
-bad connection with ground wire to starter
-positive or negative wire could be bad and have poor...
Thanks! I checked on the specs of the high temp engine enamel i used and it is resistant to gas/oil/chemicals so I will coat the whole piece in that. @Gliderskier is right this makes the intake a little taller than normal so it may be a problem with a lowered hood or aftermarket hulls. I don't...
I know what you mean. when installing this i noticed they were slightly different in spacing but the hose allows enough flex for it to fit. I have BJ 46's by the way.
@DAG thanks for letting me know. I wasnt sure about this and was going to look it up but totally forgot. They are made from ABS...
Since the 3D printer is not the greatest at printing threads I just put in a pilot hole and tap it out myself afterwards. There is a lip on it as well to prevent the hose from sliding off.
Guys,
I wanted to share a part that I made from a 3D printer to adapt the stock airbox to a set of BlackJack carbs. I did some research and found adapters from @Mark44, Thrust Innovations, and Wamiltons but none of those were for this exact style airbox and these carbs which do not have...
@bigkahuna I just uncovered my ski from the winter and wanted to do this mod to the stock SJ hood but it doesn't have anywhere to cut between inner/outer liner to get extra air up into the air baffle. Did you do this on a RN or SN? I have a RN
Yeah i know him. I shot him a text today to see what the deal was. He said he messed up the address so it never got sent out and he just moved so FedEx couldn't get a hold of him to tell him. But he figured it out and he's now putting the correct address and sending it out.
