    once you have your leak fixed lower the popoff and use a bigger low jet you have a lean studder problem may have to drop the high jet a little as you fix the studder by richening the lows

    this all plays a role in how much upper case work you do when adding bigger ports in aftermarket cylinders also bore and stroke combinations all effect the primary compression ratio

    by filling you increase the primary compression ratio which is good for more throttle response and stronger mid range power grinding and lowering the primary compression ratio will soften the lowend hit and stronger upper mid to top end power

    stock msd setting is about 8000 rpm i set them closer to 9000 rpm turn screw to the right to max out then back 1/8 turn then lock jam nut down lightly

    brown/white stator wire to brown on msd connect white from start/stop to white on msd first then connect white/red to msd white on 61x stators jumper white wire that is female/female connector, on white/red from stator is used on late models with 62t stators then to msd white

    like chuck said with 61x cylinders, raising exhaust port a couple of degrees works well yamanube your fine with what your offering, just this little bit of porting work will go a long way in making power with your typical add on mods like b-pipe, ada head, rejetting and or better carb system

    b1023 is the kawasaki bearing if using a oem yamaha part you want the U3 bearing not the 701 U2 bearing that uses the shims I think the U3 is for the yam 650 same as the kawasaki bearing
